I told you one day that we spent alone after you and him broke up, that id show you what real love was. So I put my heart on my sleeves, we ran in the rain, and danced to your music. I heard all your stories, understood your metaphors, listened to your soul. I went into places with you when you got anxiety, held your hand when you got scared, and even your anger grew heavy on my heart. Until those moments started seeping into my daydreams, following me to sleep. The songs you would send became the only thing I'd listen to, taking a break once in a while to listen to the songs in my playlist about you. I started feeling what you felt from a thousand miles away, unintentionally tying my soul to yours. After some time I looked through the world finding the small things that proved our connection. I got lost helping you along your journey. It wasn't just a joke or a helping hand anymore. It never crossed my mind that in order to prove what love was, I'd have to risk it all and fall.
