When meeting someone new
I put on a pair of rose coloured glasses
Looking through them at the masses,
I seen you in every place i went
Time after time again, my mind had become spent
I waited for the smallest sign
That you wanted to be mine
So i begun to look around
In the clearness of all that surrounds
Past the glasses, past the small signs
I began to realize
All the things that i seen as our meaning
Was inherently causing my bleeding
So i pushed them back up on my face
Causing my mind to start to race
I haven't gotten the courage to take them off yet
But you can bet
When im ready
I will, and i know my heart will begin to steady
