The next morning come the breakfast alarm, Kane noticed Haru made no effort to move from the corner in the bed he was still curled in. Though he had at some point covered himself entirely with the blanket.

Kane internally felt the pain himself looking at the awkward sitting up position Haru had been in all night. 'You should come to breakfast.' Kane said as gently as he could, which would come as a shock to anyone else given his intimidating nature.

The lump shifted every so slightly, but made no move to get up. Kane decided he couldn't force the man he didn't even know. 'Besides,' he thought 'Im here for a mission. Caring about criminals and making attachments is the last thing I need.'

That thought didn't last Kane very long. Thoughts about Haru distracted Kane throughout washing up and his meal and his task of covertly observing the targets. And when he left the hall he took a bar, apple and water bottle back to his cell with him.

As expected when Kane arrived. Kaito hadn't moved. Kane made him entering as loud and obvious as he could to not scare him. 'Alright, get up now you have to eat something.' He said. When the lump didn't move still he took a slightly more commanding tone. 'Look man, I don't know you but what happened last night has to have exhausted your body. You need food and water or you'll fall over the second you get up like an iron deficient girl. Now get up, I brought you food. Don't make me look like a fool.'

Kane slightly regretted maybe being too harsh on the guy, but eventually the cover where removed and the man who looked like he didn't get and wink of sleep shuffled to the end of the bed and looked up at Kane awaiting with the food.

Kane tried not to reflect back to Luke just how tired and weak Luke looked as the small man gleaned up at him. Instead plastering a wide grin he handed over the food, which were taken with shaky boney hands, that where concerningly covered in scarred tissue and marred skin

Kane sat on a stool and occupied himself with watching Luke nibble his food an inch at a time till the bar was gone and the apple half eaten.

'I'm,' Luke started with a raspy voice 'I'm sorry about last night. For keeping you awake, n stuff. And thank you for helping I'll keep it down next time it's not normally that bad.' Luke never looked up from the floor he stared at, ashamed with himself it seemed. In all honesty Kane wasn't quite sure himself how to handle the situation.

On the one hand, his heart yearned to help out his cell mate, to figure out the strange young man before him and unpack all the secrets. It felt like his duty to relieve his obvious suffereing in some way. But on the other hand Kane wasn't supposed to make connections with the inmates outside what would be nessesary for the mission. Making a relationship of any kind with this young man was not nessesary and should have been avoided.

But Kane stared at the head of dark lose curls from the head hung low like a dejected puppy. 'It's alright. What happened last night you can't control, it's not your fault.'

Right at that moment, a man stopped right outside their cell, arm leaning against the cell doorway 'yo tiny, King want to see you' the man said. Immediately Kane perked in interest.

Why is King requesting Luke?? The guy certainly dosent seem like the company King keeps around him.

What will they speak about?

What relation do they have with each other?

All these questions swirled Kanes mind as he analysed the situation silently. Luke seemed indifferent about the announcement. He got up and almost robotically followed the man out the cell to King.

Kanes cell mate just got a whole lot more interesting. And Kane was determined to find out more. With a new found determination, Kane was on his feet a few seconds later and discretely following after his cell mate.
