Bonnie hadn't been sure how long she had been unconscious when she finally started to come-to. Her eyes were groggy but she was starting to become aware of her surroundings.

Regaining her hearing first, she could hear one of her children crying and calling to her

"mommy...mama...wake up...please mama." It was Livy's small voice, squeaking with desperation through her sobs.

In the distance she could hear her other two children crying as well, they started to become closer, and louder as Bonnie continued to regain consciousness.

Her temperature and sense of touch was the next to return to her, and she could feel the warmth of a bed beneath her body. The blanket was soft and fluffy... was she in Lexa's bed?

Her sense of smell was next to return, the smell of the her youngest daughter's lavender scented bedspread, was a comforting scent to her nostrils. The scent that her little princess was always adamant on having her bed clothes washed in. The small girl had always insisted it helped her sleep better.

"I'm okay baby... I promise..." Bonnie said, glad that her next sense to return was that of her voice. She fought hard, pushing herself to open her eyes, the sheer will of it starting to work in her favour.

It started off as a little light in the distance coming into her vision, but the harder she pushed, the bigger the light expanded, until finally, her eyes started to focus, until finally... she could see.

But how did she get up here, into Lexa's bedroom, or on her bed. Abby couldn't get past the threshold of the youngest Lockwood child's room, so surely she hadn't carried her.

Bonnie started to look around the room. Her children were at the side of the bed, all three of them. Their eyes were red, and their cheeks were stained with tears, and even some runny noses.

Continuing to look around, Bonnie sat up abruptly. There was a large strong, blonde man staring at her, serious expression on his face at the door of her daughter's bed.

"Zander... what are you doing here? And where is my mother? How long have I been out for?" Bonnie could feel her heart beat increasing, thudding hard in her chest.

With one hand in his pants pocket, Zander walked towards the bed. His suit, the hand in his pocket, and even the way he walked, it reminded her of Elijah Mikelson, or Atleast the good parts of him. Zander's voice was soft and gentle as he spoke, and full of concern.

"please I know this is weird, but I can explain it all. Don't worry, your mother is safe, we were able to get her out of harms way, and somewhere safe, we will protect her, But she is still recovering from the vervain."

"Recovering where?" Who is she with? And why are you in our house?" Bonnie asked, she felt groggy still and her head was throbbing. She glanced around the room, it was dark outside and she could see the full moon glimmering through her daughter's window. Thankful that was a sign she hadn't been out that long.

Zander held his hands up in surrender, "she's at a safe house in Mystic Falls, where my associates are taking care of her. They were going to bring her to the Salvatore School, for comfort, but didn't want to alarm more people, or send mass fear running through, and she insisted we don't take here there."

Zander continued, walking to the side of the bed the children stood. "you've only been out a couple hours, I was pulling up your drive when I seen the attack, my... associates were not far, they never are from me... some of them are tracking the offenders as we speak. I knew the safest room was here..." he said looking around Bonnie's youngest daughter's room. "And I knew your daughter needed me. I can't explain how, I'm still working on that, but I promise I am only here to help. I am of no threat to you, Tyler, your mother, and especially not your children. I promise I am on the side of Mystic Falls always."
