To their surprise they had made it out of the Lockwood Mansion, alive. The children were still frightened, but for some unknown reason to any of them Zander seemed to ease that.
They trusted him, and as of right now Bonnie did too, mind you she didn't have much other choice right now. Tyler was shifting in the cellar in the woods, thanks tot he full moon, he mother and as missing, and things or people were attacking her in her own home.
Glancing around Zander skimmed the woods around the property, as if right now nothing was hiding in them or lurking. He lead Bonnie and the children to a suv helping her strap them in. Shutting rhe doors he looked at Bonnie getting ready to open the door for her, but paused as she spoke.
"If this is some trick, I will find a way to make you pay." She said quietly massaging her head. She still felt dizzy from whatever had happened to her but hopefully they would find answers with the help of this stranger. At least until Tyler could be there to protect them, or Bonnie regained her strength.
"I promise on my life, this is not a trick. We do not have any issues with you or your mother, nor your children or Tyler. We, and I, only wish to help, and protect. Nothing less, nothing more." Zander said looking Bonnie in the eyes so she could see the truth in them .
Bonnie held his gaze for a long moment, letting her eyes linger on his. She seen no deception in them, and the brief moment their hands has grazed against one another on the way to the vehicle, she only felt warmth. She didn't know why she believed this stranger, but she did.
Bonnie finally gave him anod and sighed. "Okay, thank you."
Zander nodded back "of course." Watching her sympathetically he opened the door for her so she could climb in, which she did with ease finally, her body seemingly more relaxed.
The car ride remained quiet, the children almost falling asleep, but the adrenaline from the attack keeping them from being able to. Bonnie hadn't known what to say, not that it was akward, she just had too many thoughts. Would Tyler be okay? What if they went looking for him too? What if they had him? Would her mother really be okay once they got where ever Zander was taking them? What if he wasn't trust worthy and she was sitting here in this vehicle with him, and her children in the back? What exactly, or who exactly were Zander's friends, or associates? What was he? He has strength, speed, agility, but he had a blush in his cheek, and a heart beat.
"What are you?" She blurted out, not even realizing she had said the words until they were already out of her mouth. She flushed in embarrassment, but it only caused him to chuckle.
"You really have no idea? And need, or want to know?" He asked glancing over at her as he took another turn, heading up a winding dirty road.
"I have no clue, you're not a vampire, I know that, but no human cousin do what you did back there, and if you were a witch I'd be able to feel that, which I don't, and if you were a werewolf, you'd be needing to shift right now. So what are you?" Bonnie asked curiously.
Zander ran his tongue over his lip looking back at the road as he took another turn, glancing in the rear view mirror, then into the back seat, seeing that the children had all managed to fall sleeps. Heading up what seemed like a long driveway he finally looked back at Bonnie.
"I am a werewolf actually... I'm just not your average were wolf." He said pulling up to a house and slowing the car to a stop.
Clearing his throat he turned the car off and looked at Bonnie again. "I'm what is called an original werewolf."
"I'm sorry what?" Bonnie asked confused, turning to face him. "What exactly is that? And how did I not know of such a thing?"
"Likely because we are believed to be extinct." Zander laughed lightly said shrugging, it was the first time she had seen him lose his composure and seriousness.
