Logan nodded and smiled. "Yes, they have. Hugo has been making more weapons for us and Owen cooks up a lot of meals for me when I must patrol in Eufaula. And he's offered to watch over you and Zoe when I have to leave for any longer than a day."
Jordan grinned and caressed Logan's chest. "You worry entirely too much about me and Zoe, but I love you for it. Let's try and get some sleep. There's nothing we can do right now."
Logan nodded and kissed her temple. "You're right Darling. I'll go see what I can do in the morning." He closed his eyes, he and Jordan fell asleep, but little did they know a killer was wandering around Sandrock and would soon claim it's third victim.
A shadowed figure lurked just behind the Civil Corps, standing on the porch of one of the empty homes. Hidden by trees and shadows, the figure kept a vigil eye on the General store. The owner Arvio was sweeping the porch and straightening items on display.
If someone were to walk by, they wouldn't see the shadowed figure, but they'd certainly smell them. The shadowed figure smelled of rotting flesh and rotten apples and in the light of the moon would show what looked like moss growing on their face.
One look at this creature and you'd swear they crawled right out of a grave, and they'd be right. The figure, with a mouthful of rotten teeth and a cheek of rotted flesh smiled as he watched Arvio go inside.
The figure didn't speak but their mind said soon, Arvio would be their next victim. This killer, no one except one knows and now they're dead.

A killer that wouldn't be believed could exist because they are a creature of the night, matted hair, what's left on their skull, fingertips with missing nails and flesh. A blackened heart that no longer beats. Clothes caked with the dirt of the grave from which they rose, buried deep in the forest four years before.
The creature long since dead, still carries a bitter grudge and is back to get their revenge. Alone once on their quest, now has another to help them with their task. Even though the creature's source of the grudge is dead, they still seek vengeance because they feel they were wronged and want to make people pay for their misdeeds.
As Sandrock slept, the creature began to stalk toward the General store, the street cloaked in darkness as the creature approached the door. The creature was about to open the door when a voice rang out.
"You there, STOP at once." Justice ran toward the General store, his pistol gripped in his hand and was about to fire his weapon when the creature he saw vanished before his eyes.
Justice ran up to the General store and looked all around. There was no creature or anything else. It was as if it had never been there, except for the slightest stench of rotting flesh. Justice wrinkled his nose, waving his hand in front of his face. "What the hell is that?"
The door to the General store opened and a sleepy Arvio stepped out. "Justice? What are you doing here? What's wrong?"
Justice put his pistol away and looked at Arvio. "Nothing Arvio. I thought I saw something, but I think I was imagining it. Go back to bed." He assured Arvio but after Arvio went back inside, Justice wasn't sure it had been his imagination at all. He felt a chill go up his spine.
