"What's even more genius, is I go back and pose as him and tell everyone it was just a prank, and I wanted to test my builders. They'll believe it since they don't know about me yet, the brother he never told them about." Wei grinned and then remembered Yan had a moustache.

"I'll tell them I decided to shave so I'd look more friendly. When they question that, just say that with Catori's death, I decided I should start being a better person." Wei sat down on the bed and scratched his head.

"They won't believe that crap Wei. Yan did nothing nice without there being something in it for him. He was selfish to the core and always talked down to people. It would be better if you just happen to show up on the train and heard what happened and came to see for yourself that your brother was dead." Miguel's eyes widened.

"Yes, you should leave town right now and come back on the train. There's a train leaving right now. Jensen isn't working tonight so you'll be able to leave without being seen. Come back in two days and say you heard about Yan. They will think you're Yan at first but once you're nice to everyone, they'll know it's not Yan. Go now." Miguel pushed him out the door and laughed. Yes, it would be the perfect cover story.

Wei managed to leave on the train without being seen, while Miguel went to the cemetery to see if they'd brought Yan's body there. No one in Sandrock had any idea of the twisted plot that was unfolding before them, at least not who was behind it all. Halloween was in exactly two weeks and the murders seemed to be making the perfect Halloween story only there were real deaths involved.

Miguel discreetly went to the cemetery and saw they'd recently buried Yan, a makeshift headstone standing roughly at the front of the grave. Its care of its placing made obvious how much he was disliked. They basically only did it to rid themselves of his constant reminder of what kind of person he'd been. "Yan, such a pity no one will miss you. In a way it's kind of justice for everything you did, although I thought you'd just serve your life in a jail cell like I almost did and probably will again when our little plot is revealed."

Miguel heard someone coming and left the cemetery, making his way to the Temple as if on a leisurely stroll and nodded to Zeke as he passed. When he got back to the Church Dormitory, he went to bed, wondering what tomorrow would bring.

The next morning, Justice had the commerce building closed until they could investigate Yan's death more and see if there were any clues as to who killed him. He and UnSuur were inside checking for prints, taking samples of blood and bagging anything that seemed suspicious. When they were done, they sent the stuff over to the clinic for Fang to look at. Then they went around asking people questions.

Jordan and Logan were taking baby Zoe for a walk in her stroller and went over to the Blue Moon for some breakfast. Jordan sat with Zoe on her lap while Logan ordered some food. "I can't believe there's been two murders within a week, and no one saw anything."

Logan nodded. "Yeah, seems very odd. I'm glad I'm taking some time off so I can look out for you and Zoe. I want to protect my girls." He smiled and reached out to caress Zoe's cheek and grinned when she smiled at him. "She's getting so big." He was so proud of his family.
