Two days later, the first week of school was about to end, and the students were preparing for their first weekend break. Adelaide had not come to school for two days, and Miriam had been worried about her. She even asked the assistant principal and found out that Adelaide would be back today. The first lesson had just started, and there were 15 minutes until the break. Adelaide entered the school, and suddenly, Federico appeared in front of her.

Federico: "How are you?"

Adelaide, furious, kicked Federico in the groin.

Adelaide: "How do you think I am, you scumbag?"

Everyone who saw it was watching in astonishment, and Miriam also saw what happened.

As Adelaide started walking away, Federico grabbed her arm and pulled her back.

Federico: "You know, you're quite poetic, aren't you?"

Adelaide: "Let go of my arm."

Federico: "As you wish."

Adelaide: "What are you trying to do?"

Federico: "I'm just trying to be friends with you."

Adelaide: "Oh really? Is your idea of friendship lifting someone up to dance and then standing by while something bad happens to them?"

Federico: "When someone falls, if you reach out to help them, they’ll expect you to lift them up every time they fall. But when you cut ties completely, they’ll never rise again."

Adelaide: "You said I was poetic, but really, you were talking about yourself."

Federico: "How so?"

Adelaide: "It’s like writing a poem and presenting it as your original work, but before that, you've read many poems and been influenced by them. Every 'original' piece of work has a quote in it, just like how your sociopathic behavior must have been influenced by someone else."

Federico: "Bravo, Adelaide. The girl who kicked me calls me a sociopath. How delightful."

Miriam: "Shut your mouth."

Federico: "What's your problem, Barberini?"

Miriam: "I said leave her alone. If you don’t understand, I can explain it in another way."

Adelaide: "Forget about him."

Adelaide extended her hand to Miriam with a smile.

Adelaide: "Shall we go to class?"

Miriam, both surprised and happy, took her hand.

Miriam: "Alright, beautiful, let's go."
