The police officers found Adelaide lying motionless on the ground. After checking if she was still alive, they immediately called for an ambulance. Adelaide was rushed to the hospital, and once her identity was confirmed, her family was contacted. Adelaide's condition was critical. Upon receiving the news, her family, especially her mother, was shaken with regret. A deep sense of guilt overwhelmed her, crushing her under the weight of everything she had done. They rushed out of the house. Tears streamed down Amalia’s face, making the situation even more terrifying. The storm within her brought every buried emotion to the surface.

At the hospital, Adelaide’s classmate Elaiza was also present. She had come in for a routine check-up, but overheard people whispering. "There’s been a stabbing... the Tedesco family’s daughter," she heard them say. A shiver ran through her body as she realized it was Adelaide. Her heart raced. Panicking, she called Giuseppe. At that moment, Giuseppe was sitting with Miriam and Heyvîn. He didn’t answer the call at first, enjoying a quiet evening, but when Elaiza called again, he knew something was wrong and picked up.

Giuseppe: I’m listening, what happened?
Elaiza: Adelaide’s been stabbed... we’re at the hospital.
Giuseppe: What? How could this happen? Adelaide? Are you sure?

Giuseppe’s face turned pale with shock, his voice trembling as he spoke. His expression filled Miriam with concern.

Miriam: What’s going on, Giuseppe?
Giuseppe: Adelaide... she’s been stabbed.
Miriam: How could this happen? I dropped her off at home... how?

Miriam’s face froze, her eyes quickly filling with tears. She replayed the moment in her mind over and over. "Did I do something wrong?" she wondered. Tears began streaming down her face as they hurriedly left the house. While on their way, a heavy sense of guilt started to suffocate her. "I left her alone," she whispered to herself. Giuseppe sped up the car. The urgency to reach the hospital consumed everyone in the car.
