It was a crisp autumn morning, and the sun filtered through the orange and gold leaves lining the park paths. The air was cool but not cold enough to need heavy layers. Just perfect weather for a stroll.

Lily Mei skipped ahead, her long dark brown hair bouncing with every step, falling in loose waves over her back. Today, she wore an oversized blush pink sweater. The sweater's fabric was soft and fuzzy, almost like a cloud, with subtle white flower embroidery along the cuffs.

Paired with the sweater, she had on a pleated white tennis skirt that swayed as she walked. Her legs, smooth and pale, peeked out beneath the short hem, and she wore knee-high cream socks with small bows stitched at the top. On her feet were white Mary Jane shoes, the buckles shaped like little hearts, giving her a playful, girlish look. She'd chosen a pink velvet headband that pushed her bangs slightly to the side, letting her soft brown eyes shine. As always, her pouty pink lips were slightly glossed, and her cheeks had a natural rosy flush from the cool air.

Adrian Blackwood trailed a step behind her, his eyes never leaving her small frame. His outfit today was simple but refined, exuding effortless elegance. He wore a dark olive-green wool coat, tailored perfectly to his broad shoulders and narrow waist. The coat was left unbuttoned, revealing a thin, fitted black turtleneck underneath that accentuated his muscular chest and arms.

His trousers were a sleek, dark charcoal gray, pressed and sharp, fitting snugly along his long legs. He completed the outfit with black leather ankle boots that gleamed under the soft sunlight. A dark, silver watch rested on his wrist. Understated but expensive and his hair, as always, was neatly styled. The slight messiness in the front gave him a rugged charm that contrasted with his otherwise polished demeanor.

Where Lily's outfit was playful and whimsical, Adrian's look was understated power, quiet but commanding, much like the man himself.

As they walked side by side down the park path, Lily swung a small handbag. A white fluffy purse shaped like a bunny. She was in a cheerful mood, chatting about random things as if Adrian wasn't a brooding billionaire but simply her personal audience.

Adrian glanced down at her with a rare, soft smile, his heart warm as he listened to her rambling. She tugged on his hand suddenly, forcing him to stop.

"Adrian, look! That squirrel is so fat!" she exclaimed, pointing to a plump squirrel nibbling on an acorn near a bench.

Adrian chuckled softly, the deep sound vibrating in his chest. "He's just preparing for winter, baby."

Lily pouted. "I think he looks lazy. Just like Leon when he's on his phone all day."

Adrian smirked at the comparison, brushing a strand of hair from her cheek. "Maybe. But Leon doesn't look half as cute."

Lily grinned, satisfied with the comment . "Obviously." She took a step closer to Adrian, slipping her small hand into his much larger one. Her cold fingers curled against his warm palm, and he instinctively wrapped his hand around hers, shielding her from the chill.

"Are you cold?" Adrian asked, his voice low with concern.

"A little," Lily admitted, though she looked up at him with a playful sparkle in her eyes. "You should carry me."

Adrian's lips twitched with amusement. "Of course, baby."

Without hesitation, he scooped her up, cradling her effortlessly in his arms. Lily squealed in delight, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Now this is better," she declared, snuggling into his chest. The wool of his coat was warm, and she could smell his colognea. A deep, woodsy scent that always made her feel safe.

Adrian glanced down at her, his expression softening into something almost tender. "You're spoiled, you know that?"

Lily grinned, pressing her cheek against his shoulder. "And you love it."

Adrian shook his head, but the smile on his lips betrayed him. "Yeah. I do."

They walked through the park like that. Adrian carrying Lily in his arms as she babbled happily, and him listening with quiet devotion. To anyone else, they looked like an odd pair: a stern, intimidating businessman and a tiny, doll-like girl dressed in pastel colors. But to Adrian, there was no one else in the world who mattered.

And as far as Lily was concerned, there was no place better than Adrian's arms.
