Lily's eighteenth birthday was the event of the season. Her family went all out, transforming their estate into a wonderland of fairy lights, silk drapes, and towering floral arrangements. A grand canopy stood in the garden, where crystal chandeliers sparkled above round tables dressed in white and gold. The air smelled like roses and fresh pastries, with waiters circulating trays of champagne and delicate hors d'oeuvres. Important guests, from distant relatives to business partners, mingled with laughter and polite chatter, knowing this was no ordinary birthday. It was a grand celebration of Lily Mei's debut into adulthood.

Inside the estate, Lily sat in front of a massive vanity, her small frame almost swallowed by the luxurious satin robe she wore while a team of makeup artists fussed over her. The soft brushes gliding across her porcelain skin delicately.

"Make sure her eyes pop," Lily's mom instructed as she hovered nearby. "She needs to look perfect."

Lily's long brown hair was carefully curled, every strand falling gracefully down her back like a cascading waterfall. The makeup artist meticulously applied soft pink blush to her cheeks, complementing her delicate features. Her eyes were lined with a gentle flick of eyeliner, enhancing the innocence in her wide brown eyes. Glossy lips gleamed in a shade of soft rose, perfect for a birthday princess.

When the final touches were complete, the makeup artist stepped back with a smile. "All done."

Lily gasped in delight as she gazed at her reflection. "I look like a real princess!"

Her mom chuckled, smoothing out a curl. "Of course you do, baby."

Then came the crown. Delicate, shimmering silver adorned with crystals, set gently atop her head. Lily's eyes sparkled as she reached up to touch it, feeling like royalty.

The gown she wore was a masterpiece. Layers of soft blush tulle formed a voluminous skirt that trailed elegantly behind her as she moved. The bodice was embroidered with intricate floral designs, catching the light every time she twirled. Tiny pearls dotted the sleeves, making the dress shimmer with every step she took.

Her father and brother stepped into the room, pausing at the sight of her. Their expressions softened, both gazing at her with the unmistakable adoration they always held for her.

"You look stunning, Lily," her father said warmly, adjusting the cuff of his tailored suit.

"Like a princess straight out of a storybook," her brother added, grinning.

Lily beamed, clearly basking in their praise. "I know."

Adrian Blackwood arrived just then, leaning against the doorway. He was dressed sharply in a black suit, the sleek cut making him appear even more intimidating than usual except for the fond smile that softened his features the moment his eyes landed on Lily.

"Baby," he murmured, taking in the sight of her. His chest ached with affection, pride swelling inside him. She looked so beautiful, almost unreal. "You're perfect."

Lily twirled, the layers of her skirt fanning out around her. "Do you like it?"

"I love it," Adrian said softly. His gaze never left her, as if she were the only person in the room.

Lily sauntered over to him, her pouty lips curving into a mischievous smile. "You better stick close to me tonight, or someone might steal your princess."

Adrian chuckled, reaching out to fix her bangs . "Don't worry, baby. No one else could ever come close."

The moment was interrupted by her mother clapping her hands. "Alright, time to make an entrance!"
