Dust was scrolling on his phone while Y/N played with their toys. Blade was playing video games on the TV while Skull made lunch. They all had to babysit the kid while Nightmare was at work since Dust, Blade, and Skull didn't have to work.

"Yes!" Blade shouted as he finished his game which took him hours to complete. He sighed, satisfied with winning, but he wondered something.

Could I teach the kid to play video games?

"Hey, kid? Do you want to learn how to play video games?" Blade asked curiously.

"Uhh," you looked back at the toys that were in your hands, "no thank you," you said too focused on your game to play video games.

Blade was a little saddened, but he could always ask another time. Since he was still bored, Blade played another round of his game. He was really sucked into the game, not knowing it was almost time for lunch until Dust had turned off the TV to get his attention.

Skull had already put the food on the plates when Dust and an irritated Blade entered the kitchen. The food looked delicious and smelled like heaven. You were waiting impatiently for the others to sit down so you could all eat together, but before anyone could eat the doorbell rang.

"huh? Who's that?" Blade asked.

"Dunno...didn't invite any...guests, I think?" Skull said confused.

Blade walked towards the door and asked," Who's there?"

"Sir, this is the MT Ebott police. Open the door," the police ordered.

Blade panicked and ran quickly to the kitchen.

What the heck are the police doing here!?

"Who's at the door?" Dust asked confused at Blade's frightened face.

"THE FREAKING POLICE!" Blade yelled.

"The what?!" Dust said surprised. "Why are they here?" he asked.

"Don't know," Blade said as he shrugged. " I don't remember doing anything illegal and I doubt Skull did anything." He said as he looked at Dust with suspicion.

"Why are you looking at me like that!" Dust said annoyed.

"You're the one who's most likely to do something illegal," Blade said, but the sound of loud knocking overpowered his voice.

Dust gulped not knowing what he did wrong. The anxiety slowly crept inside him as another knock could be heard, but what Y/N did made it worse.

"Wait!" Dust and Blade said at the same time before you could open the door.

"Why?" You said confused.

"Didn't Nightmare say that only we could open the door?" Blade said remembering what their boss had told the kid several times.

"Oh yeah," you said remembering, " but aren't you going to open the door?"

"Yeah," Blade said nervously as he walked towards the door and opened it. Three police were waiting outside looking quite annoyed because he didn't open the door sooner.

"How may I help you, sir," Blade asked.

"We were informed by a lady that there's a hooded monster inside your house who kidnapped a kid," one of the officers replied.

"There seems to be a misunderstanding here, sir" Blade said nervously.

"Sir's! He's lying! I saw the monster yesterday bring the kid to the park and exit with them!" a lady behind the officer exclaimed.

Dust came up to the door and put an arm around Blade's shoulder while saying," Look, officer, we have the papers to show we adopted them. We can show you the papers."

The police looked at each other and nodded. Dust walked back inside the house to get the papers so the police could leave without there being any problems. Dust was searching everywhere inside one of Nightmare's bags, but grumbled when he didn't find it.

Where the heck did Nightmare put the papers? This was going to be a big problem if I can't find it!

Dust dialed Nightmare's number as he waited for him to answer.

"Hello?" Nightmare answered.

"Heeey Boss! uh...where did you put the uh... the adoption...papers?" Dust asked.

"Why do you need them?"Nightmare asked.

"There's some police at the front door accusing me of kidnapping...heh, "Dust nervously replied.

Nightmare sighed as he said, "Did you look inside my desk drawers?"

"Thanks, Boss will do!" Dust quickly replied and hung up before Nightmare could say anything else.

Blade nervously tapped his foot as he waited for Dust to get the papers. Y/N was holding onto his sleeve as they watched the lady from the park intently. Blade felt relieved once he saw Dust skid to a stop at the door with the papers in his hand. Dust handed the police the papers as they looked at them to make sure the papers were legal. The lady kept talking to Y/N like they were a baby while she waited for the papers to be checked.

"The papers look legal to me and the kid seems pretty fine with living with you monsters, so I don't see a problem here. Sorry for bothering you," the police officer said.

"WHAT!" the lady shouted." Those papers must be fake!"

"Ma'am, they're good to go and we checked that the papers were legal," the other police officer said.

The lady started to make a scene on our porch as Blade shut the door and locked it.

"That lady is acting like a child more than me," Y/N said as they walked back towards the living room.

"Those are what we call a Karen, Y/n," Blade said following them.

Dust sighed as he went back upstairs into Nightmare's room to put the papers away. When he came back a heavy pour of rain was falling from the sky onto the earth. Dust groaned as he went into the kitchen to eat lunch before all he'll hear will be thunder and the pattering of rain.

Nothing else can go wrong...right?
