Huh? What is this place?

You quickly woke up and gasped for air. You looked around the room you were in. There were brown and gray cabinets with a metal sink against pale gray walls. Above a wooden black nightstand was a calendar with cat stickers. You realized you were lying in a clean white bed with the same fluffy pillows from your room. The small room kind of reminded you of an examination room in a doctor's office.

You were just about to hop off the bed when you noticed you had a cast on your foot. You don't remember having a cast on your foot or being in this strange room. The last thing you remembered was seeing a blurry face which you thought was Blade's. You were confused and scared. You didn't know where you were and just wanted to go home! Tears started forming in your eyes until you wept.

You were crying for 2 minutes until you stopped in surprise to see a worried Blade. Blade sighed when he saw everything was alright.

"Buddy, what's wrong?" Blade asked. He carefully picked you up while he waited for you to respond.

You didn't know how to respond to Blade so you hugged him with happy tears in your eyes. Blade sighed and held you tight in his arms. He started walking towards the door. Once Blade opened the door, Dust and Skull rushed to ensure you were ok.

Nightmare smiled slightly as he sat in a wooden chair. You noticed Nightmare smiling at you and the others which made you happy.

"We better get home since it's getting dark. Also, don't forget to thank Sci for healing the kid." Nightmare said.

"Sure thing boss!" The others exclaimed while babying you.

Blade handed you to Dust since his arms were tired. They were all just about to leave when Sci stopped them.

"Where do you think you're going without paying me?" He said in a serious tone.

Nightmare turned around with a smirk. Sci knew exactly what Nightmare was going to do. Nightmare immediately opened a portal for the others to escape. Sci quickly launched himself over the counter to stop them from escaping . But it was too late, they all made it through. Sci angrily sighed and went back to work. He hated how Nightmare didn't pay him when he asked. But knowing Nightmare, he always keeps his word.

You were confused, but happy to be home with your family again. Even if your adoption was for one person's joy, it became the others too.
