BAILEY'S POV
That night, I drifted awake while it was still dark. As I was trying to fall back asleep, I realized I'd woken up because Logan was moving restlessly in place, muttering under his breath. "Go back to sleep, Logan." I said quietly, turning over to face away from him without opening my sleepy eyes.
He kept moving and I eventually turned back around. I rubbed a little of the blurriness out of my eyes and quickly saw that he was having a nightmare. I paused, unsure of what to do. I knew you weren't supposed to wake up someone having a bad dream, but it didn't feel right to just go back to sleep when he was like this.
I moved a little closer, propping myself up with an elbow and hesitating before speaking softly. "It's okay, Logan. It's only a dream. No one can hurt you if it's only a dream."
I continued to murmur to him gently for a few minutes and after a while, he began to settle down somewhat uneasily.
"See?" I whispered, taking my elbow out from under me and laying my head back on the pillow. I was on my side facing him, slowly falling back asleep as I spoke. "You're alright, nothing's going to happen to you here." He finally calmed, laying still and silent.
I was already on the verge of sleep myself when I felt Logan turning over towards me, sighing deeply as he threw a long arm over my waist and hooked it around my back, effectively trapping me against his hard chest.
I wondered if it was acceptable to wake him up now that I was pretty sure the nightmare was over, but I was already exhausted from blood manipulating for two days straight and he was so warm and comfortable that I curled up against him and fell asleep again before I could even think twice about it.
LOGAN'S POV
I opened my eyes to the obnoxious blare of an alarm. Bailey's arm shot up to the headboard to where her phone was charging and blindly turned the alarm off. The limb numbly slumped back down and she cradled it against her chest again. Against my chest. My chest?
Disoriented from the sudden awakening, I pulled my head up and blinked sleepily, realizing then that Bailey was snuggled up to my body, one arm over her waist and the other under the pillow where her head was. I was cuddling her. I... was cuddling. I hesitantly lifted my arm off her waist, opening my mouth to say something before seeing she'd already fallen asleep again. I'd been worried about sharing a bed when I still had such frequent nightmares, but I realized then that I'd actually had an amazing night of sleep.
I smiled down at her dozing face, shaking her shoulder gently. "Come on, time to wake up, sweetheart."
Bailey moaned deeply, her response being to sidle closer to me. I huffed a quiet laugh and almost as soon as I did, I saw a light frown appear between her brows. With her eyes still closed, she tentatively reached a hand out to see what she was snuggled up against. Her tiny hand landed on my pec and tapped it inquisitively.
When she failed to identify it with her eyes closed, Bailey peeled one open just as I suddenly tensed, sending the muscle jumping with her hand still over it. She flew back out of my arms in surprise with a small yelp, sitting up a bit and blinking furiously through the sleep. "How the hell did you do that?" She said rubbing her eyes with an incredulous smile.
"What, this?" Holding my weight off the bed with a bent arm, I tensed both pectorals this time and smirked as Bailey giggled tiredly.
She sighed amusedly. "It's way too early for this." She laughed again quietly, sluggishly throwing the covers off her and climbing to the end of the bed. Stumbling a little under her still recovering legs and catching herself with a hand on the floor, she straightened up and asked. "Coffee?"
