The alarm clock woke me up at 6:30 as usual. It was Monday, so I went about my morning routine and left home for school at 7:25. I got there 5 minutes before the first lesson started. I met Kacper in the corridor in front of the room. I was surprised because he was always late for the first lesson.

"Hey! What happened that you weren't late today?" I started the conversation and we did our handshake.

"Hey. You know, we have our first lesson with THAT teacher. Last week when I was late she almost started calling me names, so today I made an effort and I'm on time. You know, so that she doesn't accidentally get hurt from all the screaming," he replied ironically.

"Are you worried about her? I wouldn't cry if she accidentally burst out of anger."

"Me neither, but I'd rather nothing happened to her during our lesson. We'd probably have to resuscitate her and give her mouth-to-mouth," he laughed.

"I guess you're right, I prefer her lessons to this," I replied and started laughing.

"Have you heard of this new city defender?" he asked, changing the topic. "You know, the one in the red tights. I don't remember what he was called. They said something about him on TV yesterday," he continued.

When I heard this, I stopped dead. I didn't know what to answer him. I knew I could hear such a question sooner or later, but I wasn't prepared for it at that moment. I don't like and can't lie.

"Hey, are you there? Did something happen?" he asked after a long moment of silence.

I shook myself immediately.

"Err..., yes, yes, sorry I was lost in thought, what were you saying?" I replied, hoping he would drop the question.

"Have you heard about that guy in the red tights, he repeated," a little irritated.

"There was something on TV about him, right?" I repeated his words. "His name was Spider-Man or something like that," I didn't have time to watch TV yesterday, so how was I supposed to know if I was there or what they called me.

"Yeah, Spider-Man, I didn't remember his nickname," he replied.

"Don't you think it's weird?" he asked.

"But what?" I asked not knowing what he meant.

"You know, suddenly he shows up and helps people. And this red and blue costume, no spider looks like that."

"If he helps people, then he probably has nothing to worry about, and let him wear whatever outfit he wants."

"Who do you think it could be? I think it's an alien."

"Alien? Like some Martian?" I laughed. "There aren't any aliens. Even if there were, it probably wouldn't be just one, and they'd sooner want to kill us than save people. Especially in a place like this," I totally denied his theory. "If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably the result of some genetic testing."

"You again with your wise thoughts. For me it's definitely an alien. I told you 100% Martian."

At the same moment we heard the bell and entered the classroom. Kacper and I took a seat in the third desk by the wall and the teacher started the lesson. The lesson was exceptionally loud, almost everyone was talking, which didn't happen very often in this subject. My spider powers meant that I was able to hear every possible conversation that was held during the lesson. Usually it didn't bother me. I could listen to some interesting gossip. During boring lessons, this was extremely useful. This time, however, it was different. Every, literally every conversation was about me. I mean, not about Y/n Parker, but about Spider-Man. When there was great chaos in the classroom and absolutely no one was paying attention to the lesson except me, the teacher couldn't stand it.
