I've been working with James for the past few days, we're doing pretty well, it's definitely easier for me. I don't have to listen to the entire police report myself, he just gives me the location, the type of case, and the amount of bad guys. And I just report to the police, where I webbed them. For logical reasons, I don't inform the police that someone is working with me.

Today is already Friday, and I'm almost at MJ's apartment, from where I'll take her to my place for our first date.

I got up the stairs, reached her apartment door, and knocked. Unexpectedly, James opened them.

"Hi James," I greeted him, even though we had already talked earlier when I was on patrol.

"Hi Y/n," he replied and we bumped fists.

"Is MJ home?" I asked, already slightly worried that she could have stood me up, or I had mixed up the day.

"Yeah, she's getting ready to go," the boy replied. I sighed with relief. I was so nervous about this date. Even though we spent a lot of time together, a date is a step further and I don't want to mess up anything.

"Why don't you come in for a while?" he suggested, snapping me out of my nervous thoughts.

I simply nodded and went inside, closing the door behind me. Their mother was also inside and smiled as she saw me.

"MJ your date is waiting for you!" the woman shouted.

"What?! We were supposed to meet at his place," MJ replied from the bathroom.

Her Mom and James looked at me strangely.

"You know, I realized you've never been near my apartment before. Let alone inside. I came to make sure you didn't get lost," I replied. As strange as it may seem, I was always the one who walked her home, even though we lived a similar distance from the school.

James laughed.

"You're supposed to go on a date, but one of you doesn't even know where?" her mom asked us, giving me a surprised look.

"I know exactly where you live!" MJ shouted.

I rolled my eyes. Of course, she knows everything.

"If you want, I can go home and wait for you there," I replied a little irritated by her behavior.

MJ didn't say anything.

I turned around and started walking toward the front door. Her mom grabbed my hand, motioning for me to wait. I turned back.

"She's just nervous. She likes you and doesn't want to mess anything up," her mom explained and smiled slightly.

I smiled back and nodded in understanding because I felt the same way.

I waited for her for a while longer, then she finally left the bathroom.

God, she looks so beautiful. I couldn't stop staring. She put on an olive cardigan and a short black coat. On her feet elegant black loafers. Her brown wavy, loose hair falls gently past her shoulders.

And this girl agreed to go on a date with me? No way.

"What?" she asked when I didn't take my eyes off her for a long time.

I snapped out of it.

"You look..." I gasped. I couldn't find the right word.

"I look?" she asked.

"You look like the most beautiful woman in the world," I finally said.

Her cheeks flushed.

"Thanks," she replied,
