Late 10th moon of 133 AC

Laenys walks down the halls of the Red Keep on her way to break her fast with her family. She was surprised that she had yet to see the Queen or her children, but she knew they would be in attendance for the petition.

When she walks into the dining chamber, her family is already seated so she sits in the empty seat between Joffrey and her mother. Daemon sits on the other side of her mother with Viserys beside him while Baela sits across from their little brother with Aegon beside her and Rhaena beside him. There are two other seats across from her and Joff which she assumes were meant for Jace and Luce.

"Good morrow," Laenys greets everyone, putting bacon and bread on her plate.

Her mother smiles kindly at her while Joffrey snatches a piece of bacon from her plate causing Laenys to grab his hand.

"Drop the bacon Joff, you have your own," she says mock glaring at him.

Joffrey rolls his eyes but lets the food go, "Come on, food is always better when it comes off your plate."

"Then food must have been terrible for you for the last nine moons," she says, rolling her eyes.

The family eats, lightly conversing with one another for about half an hour before everyone finishes up.

Daemon stands finishing his tea, "I promised to show the boys around the Keep before the petition if any of you would like to join. If not, I will see you in the Throne room."

The three younger boys quickly hop out of their seats and follow Daemon out of the room, as does Rhaena. Rhaenyra, Baela, and Laenys remain sitting after the door closes.

"So mother, what do you have planned," Laenys inquires.

"Well since your grandmother decided to break her fast alone, I was thinking about visiting her until the petition. You two are free to join if you'd like," her mother states.

Laenys and Baela look at one another, silently debating whether or not to join her and their grandmother.

"We'd love to," Baela finally says.

The Velaryon-Targaryen family, minus the two youngest boys, stand in the throne room along with several other lords and courtgoers. Princess Rhaenys had decided to stand with them as well.

Laenys stands beside her mother since her brothers have yet to arrive while Daemon stands on the other side of her with Joffrey. Baela, Rhaena, and their grandmother stood slightly back beside Laenys.

As she was standing there she looked to the left of the throne and where her uncles and aunt stood with their Queen mother. She notices that Aemond is quite tall and now wears an eyepatch to cover what used to be his eye. She would feel bad if she didn't bear a scar on the left side of her face because of him.

Aegon, the eldest of the siblings, stands in the front. He is older now and more rugged. The man looks as if he would rather be anywhere but here, which Laenys is inclined to agree with. Helaena, the sweetest of the Hightower-Targaryens, stands between her mother and younger brother. She is a woman grown now and unfortunately wed to her elder brother.

Ser Otto, the Hand of the King stands in front of the throne, "Though it is the great hope of this court that Lord Corlys Velaryon survives his wounds, we gather here with the grim task of dealing with the succession of Driftmark. As Hand, I speak with the King's voice on this and all other matters. The crown will now hear the petitions. Ser Vaemond of House Velaryon."

Said man walks to the center of the room, glaring at Princess Rhaenyra and her family, "My Queen. My Lord Hand. The history of our noble houses extends beyond the Seven Kingdoms to the days of Old Valyria."
