Late 10th moon of 133 AC

The young Velaryon-Targaryens gather in Laenys' quarters after the incident at dinner. Luce and Rhaena sit on the settee in the center of the room while Baela and Joffrey sit across from them in the other. Jace sits in another chair as Laenys stands in front of him, cleaning his split lip.

"So how mad do you think mother is?" Luce questions while Rhaena spins the rings on his fingers.

Baela giggles, "She's definitely going to yell at us, but father may try to calm her. He looked quite proud."

"She'll probably yell at him too. He was laughing throughout the whole dinner," Laenys grins, dabbing her brother's lip with a damp towel.

Jace grabs Laenys' hand before she can dab at his lip again, "I think that is enough of that, though I do thank you," he says before grabbing the cloth.

"Well get up, I need to sit down," Laenys tells her elder brother as the other three in the room continue talking about their parents.

"Why must I get up? Make Luce move," he protests,

She rolls her eyes, lightly smacking him on the head, "He's sitting beside his betrothed, I'm not going to separate them. You, however, can move."

Jace flicks her forehead in retaliation causing her to kick his shin, "Ow! Fine!"

The prince stands up allowing her to sit. He then looks around the room for another chair but can't seem to find one. He sits on the floor and leans back against the side of her chair.

A knock sounds at the door causing the room to quiet down. Laenys looks toward the door and announces, "Enter."

Princess Rhaenyra and Prince Daemon enter the room, the former looking rather irritated and the latter having a smile on his face.

"One day. You all are back together for one day and have already caused a fight," their mother states, pacing the room, "I get we are in Kingslanding, amongst vipers, but I would have given it a week before you lot managed to find a fight to engage in."

"I'm impressed. I don't think I've ever managed to cause chaos that quickly," Daemon says with a gleeful smile.

Rhaenyra snaps her head toward him, glaring, "I'd do well to send you all back to Dragonstone or Driftmark, but at last, we cannot afford to do that right now."

She pauses sighing heavily, "The King will die soon, and I don't trust that the greens won't attempt to usurp the throne in my absence. So, we will be staying, but if any of you are involved in another fight, you will all return to Dragonstone and remain there until I am crowned."

"This is wonderful and all, but I didn't get to finish my supper, and I'd like to return to it," Laenys says, causing everyone else to agree.

Rhaenyra shakes her head with a soft laugh, "I will send a servant to bring the food here. If you leave this room, it should only be to return to your own rooms."

The eldest princess and prince leave the room, bidding their children a good night.

"At least she didn't really yell at us," Rhaena whispers breaking the silence, resulting in the room filling with laughter.

Nearly four hours and four pitchers of wine later the group is still sitting in Laenys' room. They had eaten and began gossiping about recent rumors around the realm when Baela abruptly stood up.

"Remember the stories of Maegor's hidden passages? We can finally check them out for ourselves," Baela cheerfully announces.

"Mother is going to be angry," Joff warns them.
