Anastasia lay nestled in Elijah's arms. Her head rested on his chest, and the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her ear was a comforting reminder of his presence. His arms were wrapped tightly around her, one hand resting on her lower back, the other gently draped across her waist.
As the warmth of the sun touched her skin, Anastasia shifted slightly, her body still tangled with his. She could feel the softness of the sheets beneath her, the warmth of his body pressing against hers. Her fingers, delicate and slow, traced lazy circles on his bare chest, feeling the rise and fall of his breathing.
Elijah stirred beneath her, his body reacting to her touch even before his mind fully woke. His hand moved instinctively, sliding further down her back and pulling her closer. His voice, thick with sleep, was barely a whisper. "Good morning, beautiful."
Anastasia smiled softly, lifting her head just enough to meet his eyes. There was a softness in his gaze, his features still relaxed from sleep, but there was something else there too—an unspoken desire. "Good morning," she whispered back, her voice playful, her fingers still tracing over his chest.
Elijah's hand slipped down to her hip, his touch light but intentional, and he gently pulled her on top of him, their bodies pressing closer together. She giggled softly, her chest now resting against his, the feel of his skin on hers sending a spark through her. He leaned up, catching her lips in a slow, lingering kiss, his hand sliding up her back to hold her closer as if he couldn't bear even a breath of space between them.
His lips were soft but firm, his kiss deepening as she melted into him. Anastasia's hands found their way to his hair, her fingers tangling in the messy strands as she kissed him back with equal tenderness and longing. Elijah's hand moved down to her thigh, gently squeezing as he shifted slightly beneath her, his lips never leaving hers.
When they finally broke the kiss, both of them were breathing a little heavier, the air between them charged with something unspoken but palpable. Elijah rested his forehead against hers, his eyes closed for a moment as he savored the closeness.
"You make waking up way too tempting," he murmured, his voice a low, husky whisper as his fingers trailed up her side, grazing the curve of her waist. He looked at her with a smile that was both playful and full of affection, his eyes tracing the soft lines of her face.
Anastasia giggled, her heart fluttering at the way his touch made her feel both warm and electrified at the same time. "I thought you liked sleeping in," she teased, pressing another soft kiss to his lips, barely a brush, teasing him.
"I like this a lot more," he whispered back, his lips curving into a smile against hers. His hands moved slowly, one sliding up her back, the other resting on the small of her waist, holding her in place as his lips found hers again. This time, the kiss was slower, deeper, and more intimate. His hand slipped under the fabric of her shirt, his fingers grazing her skin, sending shivers up her spine.
Anastasia's breath hitched as his hand explored the soft skin of her back, the warmth of his touch making her feel like her body was waking up in a different way. She shifted slightly, pressing herself closer to him, her legs tangling with his as their bodies aligned perfectly. She could feel every inch of him, the firmness of his chest against her, the way his hands moved with a purpose but still so gently, as if she was something fragile he didn't want to break.
Elijah's lips trailed down from her mouth to her jawline, planting soft, lazy kisses along the curve of her neck. His breath was warm against her skin, and each kiss sent a ripple of heat through her, making her body respond to him instinctively. Anastasia let out a soft sigh, her hands gripping his shoulders as he kissed the sensitive spot just below her ear.
