Selene came to school the next day.

She was being her old self once more. Her face is free from stress, her skin is back to normal, her hair swayed, and the round circles under her eyes were gone.

Jamie approached her, "Teacher Selene?" he stared at her face, "You look better. Are you alright?" Curiosity filled him up at how she was already fine.

Selene turned towards Jamie, a warm smile gracing her lips. "Jamie! I'm feeling much better now, thank you for asking," she replied, a sense of rejuvenation evident in her voice and expression.

Selene couldn't help but giggle at the question, feeling genuinely lighthearted for the first time in days. "It's like I've been given a second chance or something. My thoughts are clearer," she mused, her eyes shining with renewed energy. "It's wonderful, really."

Jamie scratched the back of his head, "Did Jack come back last night?" he asked, thinking about what might have happened, "Is he back? How was he?"

Selene looked at him in confusion. She tilted her head slightly, "Who?" she shook her head and laughed, "Who are you talking about?"

Before Jamie could speak, the school bell rang, interrupting their talk.

"Well, time for class! See you later, Jamie!" she walked past Jamie and headed towards her classroom.

He couldn't help but feel a bit perplexed. Her response about Jack's visit seemed odd. "What just happened?" he wondered.

As the day progressed, Selene continued teaching, displaying a newfound energy that caught Jamie's attention.

Jack quietly entered her classroom, and he flew down at the back. His gaze fell on her figure.

Jamie noticed him enter and waved at him, "Jack!" he whispered, calling him to talk.

Jack approached him, "Hey Jamie, what's up?" his voice carrying a hint of curiosity.

Jamie lowered his voice, "Did you come back last night? What happened?" he glanced at Selene, "She seems fine and lively. She wasn't like this yesterday."

Jack glanced at her, "I did come back last night." he furrowed his brows, "What do you mean?" asking about how she was yesterday

Jack listened intently as Jamie explained Selene's distressing state and her recent fainting. Concern etched his face as he absorbed the details. His heart clenched with worry; he knew something was amiss.

His voice tinged with urgency, Jack asked, "Did Pitch do something to her?"

Jamie nodded at the thought of seeing Pitch's horse, "I saw his horse yesterday, I'm guessing it was his doing." he seems worried about Selene, "Something's not right... I asked her if you came last night."

Jack's heart raced with anticipation as he awaited Jamie's answer. "What did she respond?" Jack asked, his voice filled with a mixture of hope and fear.

Jamie hesitated, his gaze shifting uneasily. "She... didn't remember you," he admitted. "It seemed like she couldn't recall anything related to you, Jack."

Jack blinked his eyes in disbelief, "That's absurd!" he stood from where he was, waving in Selene's direction, "Look! She'll see me."

Unfortunately, Jack felt a pang of despair as he failed to catch Selene's attention. No matter how he tried to get her to notice him, she remained completely oblivious to his presence, focusing on her class. It was as if Jack had become invisible to her in every way.

Jamie placed a comforting hand on Jack's shoulder, trying to offer some support. "I'm sorry, Jack," he said softly, his voice filled with concern. "Maybe it has something to do with Pitch's interference."
