Thursday 6pm
Winter's P.O.V.
"So you've heard it here first, the release of Aespa's newest single which is already topping the charts! You must all be so excited for your upcoming events?" The DJ asked as we continued our promotions for our latest single on the radio station that evening. We were sat around the circular table with me next to Ning Ning and Giselle and Rina opposite us.
Since the debut, we had released our first few singles achieving much success and had since been concentrating on our mini album whilst developing the detailed choreography. Today was a big moment after releasing our new music video that we had been extremely looking forward to.
"Very much so, it's been a pretty busy schedule but certainly incredibly worthwhile." Giselle replied calmly, spinning the pen in her hand between her fingers as she spoke. She was extremely charismatic during events such as these and often took the lead with Rina during discussions.
"And I imagine it's a schedule that doesn't leave too much time for finding someone special?" The DJ continued to ask curiously, making us all exchange sidewards glances to one another.
"Oh here we go..." Ning Ning muttered, rolling her eyes as she covered the microphone.
The DJ glanced over her set of questions in intrigue that were neatly organised on the desk in front of her. "Well the reason I ask is because we've had so many questions from our listeners for you all today but your idol type does seem to be a recurring question."
"This question..." Ning Ning muttered to me, making me chuckle.
As if on cue, the DJ caught our attention again."Ning Ning, do you want to go first?"
"Typical." She whispered to herself before sitting up and smiling whilst leaning into the microphone. "Oh umm sure... well I guess I would say someone who is decisive but really kind-hearted."
"What about you, Giselle?" The DJ continued, switching their gaze to Giselle who was shyly smiling.
She shrugged her shoulders, glancing slightly in Ning Ning's direction. "I don't know, someone who's patient and chatty. I tend to prefer to listen so... yeah."
As they continued to chat, I noticed Rina was staring at me from opposite the desk. She would smile shyly when our eyes met, making my heart flutter each time I glanced in her direction. It seemed that time never healed my heart, I never got over her but I tried to move forward as difficult as that was. The problem was that each time I got lost in her beautiful, auburn eyes filled with such mystery, I began to reminisce on perhaps what could have been all over again.
"Interesting, what about you Winter?" The DJ said, suddenly breaking me from my love-struck trance.
"What about me what?" I asked in confusion, glancing at the others around the table.
The producers as well as Giselle and Ning Ning laughed before my best friend intervened. "I think she zoned out."
I blushed, a noticeable pink tint to my cheeks apparent as the radio DJ smiled warmly. "It's fine, we just had a lot of questions come in asking particularly about your ideal type."
I sat there puzzled, completely oblivious. "My ideal type? I don't have one."
"Well that's a complete lie." Ning Ning muttered under her breath, smirking between me and Rina, prompting me to nudge her foot under the table to be quiet.
"Really? So no dream date?" The DJ asked, somewhat surprised. I mean not everyone has an idea type, right?
"Not really, I prefer to just focus on my music lately." I continued, hoping to put an end to the topic.
