When Winter Kim is accepted to attend a prestigious university for the performing arts in Seoul with ambitions of becoming an idol, life couldn't have been more perfect. Yet when she meets the mysterious Karina Yu who is idolised by the entire campu...
Several hours later, we were back at the dorm and despite my grievances, the party was in full swing. Judgementally, I watched in both bewilderment and intrigue how people seemed to act so casual and free spirited dancing within such a hectic and loud environment filled with electric music and excessive alcoholic. It was extremely unsettling.
Beside me, Giselle was scrolling through her phone at the recent photoshoot we had participated in for a large, international fashion brand. "Didn't the photoshoot go so well last week? I mean seriously Jimin your photos are like a supermodel."
I wasn't paying attention, glancing at my wristwatch before back at the sea of people in front of us. "When is everyone leaving?"
"It's only been 20 minutes?" She stated, questioning in reply.
"And they've all over stayed their welcome." I glanced down at my wristwatch again with a sarcastic sigh. "...ironically by 20 minutes."
Giselle shrugged and returned her focus to her phone. "People are having a nice time."
"Oh great, that means they'll never leave." Rolling my eyes in dismay until I noticed Winter across the room. She was in front of the mirror, fixing her hair when her eyes suddenly met mine in the reflection.

My heart raced from that one moment alone until her attention was diverted away, wondering across the middle of what was once our lounge and dining room area but had now become a bustling dance floor. She was laughing with Ning Ning whilst talking to several other idols from various groups including Wendy and Taeyeon reuniting from their campus days.
Giselle sighed before placing her phone back into her pocket. "Are you gonna be in a bad mood all night?"
I shrugged and took a sip of red wine, my eyes never leaving Winter. "Why doesn't she pay attention to me?"
"Well all the other idols in the room are." Giselle said, gesturing towards various other idols who had tried to initiate conversation but I was heavily reluctant to engage in pointless discussions.
"I don't care about the other idols. I want Winter and I don't share." I bit my lip, watching as she swayed gently to the music in rhythm. It was hypnotic but I wanted her focus only on me.
Giselle took a sip of her drink, swirling the rest of the wine round in her glass. "And you recall how that went last time? I know this isn't my place to say it but I'm concerned, Ning Ning is too."
"About what?" I asked, irritated by the music that was pulsating through the room from the vast speakers in the corner.
"You're still obsessing over Winter, either she's oblivious to it or just ignoring it and well last time we managed to confide any issues before you become completely..." Her words trailed off, drifting into the music.
