Chapter 31- Eris

Two ships flew in from above us not much later after I signaled Tharr. The larger one  opened up and an assortment of soldiers and medics spilled out, they came to us first and found Cragger and I were fine, they were swarming Laval however and he kept swatting them away. They eventually left and attended to others more grateful of their care.

The second ship was smaller and had a sort of elegance to it. A door on the side opened and Ry'Tharr and a large tiger person came walking out. Laval and I were confused as to who this person was but Cragger looked terrified. The cat woman who helped us break out stormed towards the tiger and he stooped to her level. She reciprocated with a slap and began to berate him.

"What the hell is this Sai!? Making deals with this... tyrant!"

"You best tell her, it seems she won't listen much to me." Tharr said as he sauntered over to us 3 sitting on the staircase. "I assume it's... done?" He said, turning his attention to Laval.

"Yep." He replied shortly.

Tharr peaked his head over us and Into the throne room and nudged a guard beside him.

"I can't tell if he's dead or not, go check."

It was wordless between us for a moment before the sound of a body collapsing onto a stone floor echoed towards us.

"Guess that gives me my answer. Well now that your job here is done let's get you all out of here." He said while helping Laval up, Cragger and I got up on our own.

"What about the rest of them?" I piped up.

"They'll be down before long, we have important matters to discuss." He said as he shepherded us into his fancy ship. He and Sai quickly sat down on comfy leather seats while Laval, Cragger, the cat and I were left to sit on an equally fancy bench wrapped in plastic.

"You gonna tell us what's going on now?" I questioned Ry'Tharr.

"Before that, I think a couple of us need introducing. Eris, Laval; this tiger beside me is Sai and the cat on your bench is Asuri. Cragger, I'm sure you know them well."

"Intimately." Cragger grumbled.

"Somethin' you wanna explain Cragger?" Laval questioned.

"They kidnapped me the first day we got here and they've been stalking me ever since."

"That tiger does look familiar now that you mention it..." Laval said while shooting him a scowl.

"Yes I am very pretty but I'm not the subject of this meeting. Though you're looking pretty rough yourself prince. What happened to that shampoo you had, you look like you could use it." the tiger teased. He had a malicious grin carved across his, face almost begging him to do something; and Val looked just about to butcher him like he did to that white lion.

"I know you all were at each other's throats just a day ago but killing each other is just going to set us back." He said trying to calm them down. "Now I have another plan that'll get you closer to this snake that you seek."

"Another plan? Look what your last plan did to me!" Laval exclaimed with his wounded, bloody body on display.

"I can assure you not a drop of blood will stain your fur where we're going next, at least you and Eris. Instead of a battlefield it's more of a ballroom."

"What does that mean?" I asked.

"Tomorrow night our friend Resegidis is attending a gala to decide the ruler of the moon Relanakiiv. Many important figures in Chima are attending, myself included. You and Laval will come with me as a plus one."
