"To arms, Telmar! To arms!" Glozelle shouted as he and Sopespian rode towards the Telmarine army, and the soldiers raised their weapons as they cheered.

Miriam moved to stand next to Peter and Edmund and waited for the Telmarines to attack first. Caspian had jumped up on Destier as they had planned and was waiting for Peter's signal. The Telmarines had loaded their trebuchets with boulders and had begun to fire them off, some of them nearly hitting where they were standing and unfortunately some did hit the Narnians behind them. Underneath the ground, in the tunnels, a second army of Narnian soldiers waited to rise above the earth and join the battlefield. The ground shook as the giant boulders hit the floor.

"Calvary... attack!" Glozelle lead the army forward. Earth splashed here and there when the large boulders hit the ground. Miriam focused on one part of the calvary, figured she would start there and work her way through the entire army. On top of the How, Susan ordered the archers to get ready.

"Archers to the ready!" The Narnian archers put arrows to the string as the Telmarines were getting closer and at rapid speed. Peter looked back at Caspian who moved his horse around and together with Glenstorm they rode back into the How to join the hundreds of Narnians who were eagerly waiting to set their plan in motion.

"Narnians! Charge!" With one hand holding a torch, Caspian lead the army as they charged down the tunnel beneath the battlefield.

"One, two, three..." Peter counted.

"Four, five, six..." so did Caspian.

"Seven, eight, nine... Get ready!" Peter called out.

The ground kept rumbling underneath them and just as the Telmarines drew nearer, Caspian and the Narnians smashed the stone pillars underground which caused the ground to collapse and created a giant pit which in turn caused many of the Telmarine horses to fall into the pit.

"Now!" Susan ordered the archers to start shooting. Arrows fell into the pit, hitting the Telmarines who were trying to climb out of the pit. Edmund jumped on a horse and charged towards the Telmarines.

"Charge!" Peter shouted and the Narnian army sprang into action. The plan was to attack the first group of Telmarines from all directions, circle them in. Peter, Edmund, and Miriam led the army from the front while Caspian lead the second army up through a platform and charged at the cavalry from behind. The Narnians showed no mercy on the soldiers as they had been fed up with the humans and their treatment of the Narnians for far too long. Miriam showed no mercy as she killed one soldier after the other. The Narnians was her family, Narnia was her home, and she would hate herself if she failed them. The more time she spent in Narnia, the more she felt at home... the more she knew she wanted to stay. If she survived this, she had a huge decision to make.

On another part of the battlefield, a soldier climbed out of the pit and saw Reepicheep in armor.

"You're... a mouse."

"You people have no imagination!" Reepicheep struck the soldier in the head with his sword before moving on to his next victim.

A second calvary was approaching, far larger than the first one and with the trebuchets still working, Miriam feared they were soon outnumbered. She saw the eagles fly above her, holding the dwarfs who were shooting arrows at the enemy. Miriam had no time to observe what was happening around her as more and more soldiers tried to attack her. She would switch between close combat and throwing daggers at soldiers who were either coming towards her or fellow Narnians who were too busy to watch their backs. She barely had time to catch her breath but when she did, she saw the boulders hitting the front wall of the How, were Susan and the archers were standing.
