After the mishap at the Duleep Trophy and Sid's busy schedule with Team India’s tour in Sri Lanka, things took a serious turn back home. Sid’s mother, Rita Aunty, had fallen ill, and Ashok Uncle was equally stressed, struggling to manage the household without her. Despite these challenges, Shehnaaz stepped in. She balanced taking care of Sid’s parents with her work as a famous YouTuber, managing hospital visits and household duties seamlessly.

Sid’s elder sisters, Neetu and Preeti, weren’t able to be there to help. Neetu was at a family wedding in Poona, and Preeti was on vacation with her family. Shehnaaz handled everything on her own, easing the stress for Ashok Uncle and making sure Rita Aunty was well cared for.

When Sid returned from Sri Lanka, his sisters told him how Shehnaaz had managed everything like a pro.

"She’s a good person, Sid. She genuinely cares for everyone," Neetu said.

Sid smiled, his heart swelling with pride and affection for Shehnaaz. But amidst all of this, Shehnaaz was carrying a secret that would change both of their lives.

The News

Over the past few days, Shehnaaz had been feeling unusual—slight nausea, dizziness, and other symptoms she couldn’t ignore. Her instincts told her to take a pregnancy test. And after trying nearly 10 kits, 9 came out positive. She was pregnant.

Shehnaaz was overwhelmed. This was huge news, but they were only 22, still dating and figuring out their lives. She hadn't expected this so soon. She wasn't sure how Sid would react to this sudden turn of events.

As she paced back and forth in her apartment, her thoughts raced. How would she tell Sid? They had been so busy with their careers—Sid as a rising cricket star and her as a YouTuber with millions of followers. And now, they were about to become parents. She decided to tell him on a special day: his birthday, December 12th. It would be the perfect moment to share the news.

Sid's Birthday Surprise

On the night of Sid's birthday, Shehnaaz prepared a cozy celebration—just the two of them. She baked a cake, set up some candles, and wrapped a small gift. As they sat down for dinner, Shehnaaz could hardly contain her nerves. She kept sneaking glances at Sid, waiting for the right moment to reveal her surprise.

“Something’s up, Misti Doi,” Sid said, eyeing her curiously. He could sense her uneasiness.

Shehnaaz smiled, shaking her head. “Just wait. You’ll find out soon enough.”

At midnight, she brought out the cake and a small box wrapped with a ribbon. Sid, already smiling from the surprise, blew out the candles, made a wish, and cut the cake. She handed him the box, her heart pounding.

“What’s this?” Sid asked, opening the gift.

Inside, he found a tiny pair of baby shoes. He froze, staring at them before looking up at Shehnaaz in disbelief.

“Shehnaaz... does this mean—?”

She nodded, her eyes bright with emotion. “Yes, Sid. I’m pregnant.”

For a moment, Sid was speechless. Then a grin spread across his face, and he pulled Shehnaaz into a tight hug, lifting her off the ground. “We’re having a baby!” he shouted, laughing in disbelief. “This is the best birthday present ever!”

The Big Decision

After the initial excitement, they sat down to talk about what this meant for them. They were still young—Sid, a rising star in cricket, and Shehnaaz, at the peak of her YouTube career. But now, they had a new chapter to consider: becoming parents.

“We need to tell our families,” Shehnaaz said, a little nervous. “They need to know what’s happening.”

Sid nodded. “And we should make a decision too.” He looked at her seriously. “Shehnaaz, let’s get married. We’re going to be a family. Why wait?”

Shehnaaz was taken aback, though she’d thought about it too. Marriage had been on the horizon, but this made everything so real.

“Are you sure, Sid? We haven’t even planned anything,” she said, her voice uncertain.

Sid took her hand, his gaze steady. “I’ve never been more sure of anything. I love you, Misti Doi. And now that we’re going to have a baby, I want to do this right. I want to be with you forever.”

After a pause, Shehnaaz smiled, her heart warming. “Okay. Let’s do it. Let’s tell our families and make it official.”

Breaking the News

On December 12th, Sid and Shehnaaz gathered both their families, including Shehnaaz’s parents and her brother, Shehbaaz. Sitting nervously, they revealed their news—first about the pregnancy and then their decision to get married.

The reaction was pure joy. Rita Aunty, despite her health struggles, couldn’t contain her happiness. Ashok Uncle beamed with pride, clapping Sid on the back. Neetu and Preeti hugged Shehnaaz, excited for her and the future ahead.

Shehnaaz’s parents were initially surprised but quickly warmed to the idea, their faces lighting up. Her brother Shehbaaz, always the joker, teased Sid mercilessly.

“So, we’re going to have a cricket-playing baby in the family?” Shehbaaz laughed, winking at Sid. “Congrats, bro. You’re going to make a great dad.”

The families were thrilled, and the decision to get married was met with full support. “We’ll plan everything together,” Ashok Uncle said. “This is going to be the best wedding ever.”

Sid squeezed Shehnaaz’s hand under the table. Everything was falling into place.

Later that night, as the families discussed wedding plans and future celebrations, Sid and Shehnaaz shared a quiet moment.

“You ready for this?” Sid whispered, holding her close.

Shehnaaz smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. “With you? Always.”

As they sat together, they knew they were stepping into a new chapter—one filled with love, excitement, and the promise of a beautiful future together. Their love had grown deeper, and now, with a baby on the way and a wedding to plan, they were ready for the adventure ahead.
