It was another morning at the Salvatore mansion, and the kitchen was alive with the delightful smells of breakfast in the making.

Damon was by the stove, expertly flipping pancakes, while Sofia stood at the counter, carefully assembling cheese grilled sandwiches—a recipe Chloe had taught her, one that had quickly become a household favorite.

Issy and Jace sat eagerly at the dining table, their stomachs growling with hunger, unable to hide their impatience.

“How much longer?” Jace whined, resting his head dramatically on his arms.

“Yeah, we’re starving!” Issy chimed in, casting a playful glare at both adults.

Damon smirked, giving Sofia a sidelong glance. “Hear that, Sof? Looks like they’re not impressed with your timing,” he teased.

Sofia rolled her eyes, picking up on the challenge in his tone. “Oh, please, Damon. Let’s see who can whip up the better breakfast, then—faster and tastier.”

And just like that, a competition was on.

Damon and Sofia moved swiftly around the kitchen, dodging each other, laughing, and playfully trying to sabotage each other’s cooking.

The kids watched, wide-eyed, the complaints forgotten as they cheered for each contestant.

In the midst of the chaos, the phone rang, and Angela, who had just walked in, picked it up. “Hello?” she said, her voice curious.

The familiar voice on the other end made her eyes widen with excitement.

“Angela, it’s Stefan,” he greeted warmly. “Elena and I are coming back to Mystic Falls. Elena’s due date is close, and she wants to give birth here, surrounded by family. We’ll be there soon—with little Mike.”

Angela's face lit up, and she quickly turned to announce the news, her voice carrying through the kitchen. “Guess what, everyone! Stefan and Elena are coming back, and they’re bringing Mike! Elena wants to have the baby here in Mystic Falls!”

The room erupted with excitement. Damon dropped his spatula, grinning widely. “My little brother’s coming home, huh? Well, guess I’ll have to brush up on my uncle skills.”

Sofia’s face softened, her competitive spirit momentarily forgotten as she imagined the reunion. “I can’t wait to see them,” she said, beaming.

Issy and Jace bounced in their seats, their faces lighting up at the thought of seeing their family again. “This is going to be amazing!” they cheered.

With renewed energy, Damon and Sofia wrapped up breakfast, each serving up their creations with big smiles.

Today was already shaping up to be a day of celebration, and everyone knew that the Salvatore mansion was about to be filled with even more laughter, memories, and love.

At the Salvatore School, Sofia was in her office, sorting through the latest student reports, when her phone buzzed.

Seeing Caroline’s name flash on the screen, she smiled and picked up immediately.

“Caroline! It’s been too long. How’s Paris treating you?” Sofia greeted warmly.

Caroline’s laughter floated through the phone. “It was amazing, but I’m ready to come home. My work here is finally done, and it’s time I come back to my kids. Thought I’d give you a heads-up so you can warn everyone.”

Sofia’s smile widened as excitement bubbled up. “The kids are going to be thrilled! And so am I. When will you get here?”

“End of the week,” Caroline replied, a hint of anticipation in her voice. “Get everyone ready—I think it’s time for a proper reunion.”

After the call, Sofia’s heart was racing. She couldn’t wait to share the news.

Later that evening, back at the Salvatore mansion, she gathered everyone in the living room, where Damon, Issy, Jace, and Angela as well as the Forbs-Saltzman twins were already gathered, chatting and unwinding from the day.

“Everyone, I have an announcement,” Sofia said, her excitement contagious. “Caroline is coming back! Her work in Paris is finally over, and she’ll be home by the end of the week.”

The room erupted in cheers and exclamations, with the Siphoner twins practically bouncing with excitement.

“And,” Sofia continued, “we thought it would be the perfect time for a reunion. Let’s gather everyone from the old Mystic Falls gang. We’ll have a party right here!”

Damon grinned, his eyes glinting with a rare sentimentality. “It’s about time. Mystic Falls hasn’t felt the same without the whole gang together.”

Angela smiled brightly, already thinking of ways to help set up the event. “This is going to be amazing! We should decorate the mansion and get everyone’s favorite foods. And don’t forget the music!”

Over the next few days, the preparations kicked off in full swing. Word spread quickly, and soon everyone was buzzing with excitement.

Stefan, Elena, Bonnie, Enzo, Matt, and even Jeremy were all set to return.

The Salvatore mansion would once again be the center of laughter, nostalgia, and friendship, filled with the memories that bound them all together.

As the day of the reunion approached, Sofia couldn’t help but feel a warmth in her heart.

Mystic Falls was more than just a town; it was a family.

And soon, that family would be together again.
