Wei Wuxian P.O.V

As the clock struck 6 p.m., we finally arrived at Lotus Pier. To my astonishment, Lan Zhan had been right all along; we reached our destination much earlier than I had anticipated.

As Lan Zhan and the others disembarked from the boat, it was my turn to step out. I noticed that he was extending his hand toward me, his gaze tender and reassuring.

Lan Zhan's presence was undeniably striking; it was hard not to lose oneself in the depths of his eyes. Despite the flutter of nerves, I took hold of his hand for support, feeling a warmth spread through me as he helped me climb out.

Once on solid ground, my eyes widened in surprise at the transformation of Lotus Pier. It looked different, more vibrant than I remembered. A soft smile crept across my face as I turned to Lan Zhan, who nodded in encouragement. With a subtle gesture, he signaled for us to follow him, leading us further into the enchanting surroundings.

As we arrived at the quaint little inn nestled among the trees, the soft glow of lanterns welcomed us in for the night. The warm, inviting atmosphere inside provided a stark contrast to the cool evening air. We approached the front desk to secure our room, the wooden floors creaking gently beneath our feet.

Sizhui stepped forward, a respectful posture evident in his demeanor. He inclined his head, addressing me with a hint of formality. "Master Wei, it seems that you and Hanguang Jun will be sharing the same room. Is that acceptable?" His voice was steady, but there was a glimmer of curiosity in his eyes.

I couldn't help but flash a playful smile at his earnestness. "Is that even a question?" I replied, letting a light chuckle slip through. "Hanguang Jun and I have always been quite accustomed to sharing our space." My tone was teasing, knowing full well the bond we shared. It was a light-hearted moment, cutting through the formality of our surroundings.

Sizhui beamed brightly, his eyes sparkling with excitement as he turned to the man attending to them. "Please, could you help us set up our room?" he requested with an encouraging smile that seemed to ease the man's workload.

After a few moments of busy preparations, the juniors approached us, bowing deeply in respect. I glanced at them, my brow furrowed in confusion, unsure of what was coming next.

"Master Wei and Hanguang Jun," one of them began, his voice steady despite a hint of nervousness. "We will be stepping out for a while. Jin Ling is expecting us, and we will be joining him shortly. Wen Ning will accompany us as well." They looked expectantly at Lan Zhan, seeking his approval for their outing.

With a gentle nod, Lan Zhan granted them permission, his expression calm and composed as he watched them leave. The doors swung open, and I couldn't help but notice the way their faces lit up, filled with hope and camaraderie as they hurried out.

"Wen Ning was here?" I asked in surprise, my eyes widening as I turned to Lan Zhan, who nodded slightly, a hint of mystery in his demeanor.

"Let's go to our room to relax for a while," he suggested, his voice calm and steady. I quickly fell in step behind him, curious about our accommodations.

When Lan Zhan opened the door, I was taken aback. The room was breathtakingly elegant, decorated in a style that echoed the traditional theme of Lotus Pier. Delicate lanterns hung from the ceiling, casting a warm, soft glow over the intricate woodwork and rich fabrics. I felt a swell of nostalgia as I surveyed the familiar yet exquisite surroundings. Still, my stomach grumbled in protest, pulling me back to the present. I remembered that Lan Zhan had brought me here with the promise of dinner.

"Lan Zhan, when are we going to eat?" I asked, looking up at him with an expectant gaze.

"8:30 p.m.," he replied, his tone measured as always. Without missing a beat, he settled down on the floor, legs crossed, and began to meditate, his focus unwavering.
