Jiang Cheng's P.O.V

As we burst through the door, the warmth of the room enveloped us. A doctor stood by, his demeanor reassuring as he spoke to Wei Ying, who wore a broad smile. Lan Wangji, standing beside him, mirrored that joy with a gentle smile of his own.

I stepped forward, my heart racing. "Is it true?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, but my eyes were filled with hope.

Wei Ying's smile widened, and he nodded enthusiastically. "Yep! I'm pregnant," he announced, the words hanging in the air like an enchanting melody. Without thinking twice, I rushed forward and enveloped my brother in a tight embrace, feeling the warmth of his excitement radiate between us.

"Congratulations!" I exclaimed, pulling back to look at both him and Lan Wangji, whose presence had always been steadfast and protective. Lan Wangji's features softened, but there was a hint of concern in his eyes as he glanced at Wei Ying, his instincts telling him to shield his partner from any potential worry or harm.

"We should go home to Cloud Recesses," Lan Wangji suggested, his voice calm but firm. He wanted to create a safe haven for Wei Ying during this beautiful yet vulnerable time.

I nodded in agreement but insisted, "Only if I can stay at Cloud Recesses too." I felt a mix of protectiveness and excitement for my brother's journey ahead.

Lan Wangji met my gaze and replied with a solemn agreement. "It's a deal."

"A Ling!" I called out, searching for my nephew, who had been quietly standing with Sizhui. I rolled my eyes internally; that kid was always ready to play the role of a loverboy, despite his age.

"Pack your things! We're going to stay at Cloud Recesses for a while," I announced, my voice firm yet lighthearted. I left them to gather my belongings, my heart brimming with joy for Wei Ying and the journey that lay ahead for our family.

Wei Wuxian's P.O.V

Jiang Cheng had just left the room, and I could almost sense the warmth radiating from Zewu Jun's smile as he watched the interaction unfold. Meanwhile, Jin Ling settled down beside me, a mix of determination and hope in his eyes.

"Uncle, can I please stay with the juniors? I really want to know where they'll be sleeping," he pleaded, his voice filled with earnest longing.

I let out a resigned sigh, feeling the weight of responsibility on my shoulders. "A Ling, as the new leader of the Jin Clan, it's important for you to have your own space. Your father would absolutely insist on it, and I can already hear his disapproving voice in my head."

Jin Ling's expression shifted to one of stubbornness, his lower lip jutting out in a familiar pout. "But I really want to be with them—"

Before he could go on, Lan Zhan interjected with his usual calm demeanor. "The Lan Sect juniors are only permitted to sleep together," he stated firmly, his voice leaving no room for argument. It was clear that we were about to tread the familiar ground of their stringent rules once again.

Jin Ling fell silent, his enthusiasm dampened, and he glanced around for some support. His gaze landed on Huaisang, who was lounging nearby, a bemused expression on his face. Jin Ling subtly shifted toward him, hoping he might intercede on his behalf. But Huaisang merely laughed, clearly entertained by the unfolding scene, and shook his head.

The tension in the air was palpable, a blend of duty and camaraderie, as we all tried to navigate the complexities of clan expectations and personal desires.

Afterward, the juniors eagerly assisted us in gathering our belongings for the journey back home to Cloud Recesses, all thanks to my ever-protective husband, Hanguang Jun.

He had already made it clear to everyone that our time in Jingshi would be undisturbed; he even announced that he no longer wished to participate in the Night Hunt, prioritizing my comfort above all else.

Three hours later, the atmosphere on the boat was warm and cheerful. I found myself nestled between Lan Zhan and A Ling, with Zewu Jun sitting directly across from us, joined by the other juniors. The gentle rocking of the boat and the sound of water lapping against the sides created a peaceful backdrop for our journey.

Meanwhile, Huaisang had already departed for his hometown, bidding us farewell with a promise to visit in a week's time. His playful banter would certainly be missed during our stay.

Beside me, Wen Ning animatedly chatted with Jingyi about their shared interests in bows and medicine, their voices mingling in the air with laughter and excitement.

"Where is Uncle?" A Ling's voice broke through my thoughts, curiosity lacing his tone.

We had been waiting for Jiang Cheng for nearly thirty minutes. Just as I was starting to wonder about him, I spotted him approaching the boat. To my surprise, he was laden with an overwhelming number of bags, so many that it was almost comical. Even A Ling's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Uncle, are you seriously bringing all of this!?" A Ling exclaimed, shaking his head in pure astonishment. Jiang Cheng met his gaze with an expression that would have made Jin Ling shrink back, prompting him to settle quietly at my side once again.

Jiang Cheng chose a spot next to Zewu Jun, immediately sinking into conversation, his annoyance evident but softened by the camaraderie among us.

And with that, we set off toward Cloud Recesses, the anticipation of home weaving through the air like a warm embrace.

4 hours later~~

We have finally arrived at the serene Cloud Recesses, a place nestled high among the mountains, where the air is fresh and whispers of tranquility envelop us. As we made our way through the beautiful halls, I noticed everyone settling into their rooms, laughter and chatter filling the space. The maidens had kindly prepared a cozy suite for A Ling and Jiang Cheng, making sure everything was just right for their stay.

After helping everyone get settled, Lan Zhan and I headed to our own Jingshi, seeking a moment to unwind amidst the peaceful surroundings. The room was adorned with simple yet elegant decor, creating a calming atmosphere perfect for relaxation.

Once inside, we snuggled together, the warmth of his presence wrapping around me like a comforting blanket. As we cuddled, I noticed a shadow of concern cross his face. "I'm afraid," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper.

"About what?" I asked, turning my head to meet his soft, expressive gaze, my curiosity piqued.

He took a deep breath, and I could see the turmoil behind his usually composed demeanor. "I'm afraid that I will be a bad father to my own child." The admission hung in the air, heavy with emotion.

Moved by his vulnerability, I cupped his cheeks in my palms, gently bringing him closer. Without thinking, I leaned in and placed a tender kiss on his lips, hoping to reassure him. "I know you will be a good dad. Just remember not to pressure our child with your rules, love. Every child is unique, and they need the freedom to grow."

His expression softened, and a small smile spread across his face as he kissed me back, the warmth of the moment washing over us.

"I love you," he said, sincerity shining in his eyes.

"I love you more, Hanguang Jun!" I giggled, feeling a sense of bliss that made the world outside fade away. As the gentle rhythm of our breathing filled the room, I leaned into him, comforted by our connection, and soon drifted off to sleep, wrapped in his embrace.
