Wei Wuxian's P.O.VI gradually woke up, my head resting comfortably on my husband's well-defined bicep. The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. After a few moments of contented stretching, I remembered our plans: we would spend a little more time at Lotus Pier before heading back to Cloud Recesses next week.
Feeling energized, I decided to let Lan Zhan sleep a bit longer, but the enticing aroma of breakfast wafting through the air proved too tempting. I gently nudged him awake, whispering softly that it was time for breakfast at Jiang Cheng's place.
Once he was awake, we moved to the bathroom, sharing a quiet and intimate space as we showered and got ready. The water cascading down felt refreshing, washing away any lingering sleep. After dressing, we teleported ourselves to Jiang Cheng's home, the familiar energy of the location instantly comforting.
As we arrived, Jiang Cheng greeted us with a bright smile, his eyes full of warmth. "Good morning!" he exclaimed, leading us out to the garden, where a delightful breakfast was laid out on a long wooden table surrounded by blooming flowers and the tranquil sounds of nature.
I noticed the juniors already seated and chatting eagerly, and amidst them, Huaisang was playfully teasing Sizhui. My curiosity piqued as I prepared to join their animated conversation.
With a mischievous grin, Huaisang leaned closer to Sizhui and declared, "Hehe, I will tell your Hanguang Jun what you and Jin Ling did last night!" His tone was overly dramatic, and it drew laughter from the others.
Unable to contain my intrigue, I stepped forward, my presence suddenly interrupting their banter. "What is it?" I asked, my voice serious enough to catch Huaisang off guard. He almost jumped, startled by how I seemed to appear out of nowhere, and the laughter around us quickly faded into hushed curiosity about his cryptic tease.
He scratched his neck nervously. "Weishu..."
I raised an eyebrow, my gaze shifting to my left. There, I spotted Jin Ling and Sizhui, their fingers intertwined, a subtle yet unmistakable connection between them.
Aish, these two. It's clear to me that they're already falling for each other.
With a teasing tone, I leaned in, unable to resist the moment. "Yah, are you both boyfriends now?" My question hung in the air. They both blushed deeply, glancing away as they tried to avoid my gaze, clearly caught off guard by my remark.
Jiang Cheng came barreling towards me, panic etched across his face as he turned to Jin Ling. "A Ling! What did I tell you!?" His voice rose dramatically, filled with frustration, and it seemed like he was ready to unleash Zidian at any moment. Fortunately, before he could act on his impulse, Zewu Jun stepped in, his calm demeanor radiating an air of authority that instantly diffused the tension.
Lan Zhan stood beside me, his presence reassuring. He gently pulled me to his other side, positioning me to face my brother, whose cheeks were an adorable shade of crimson. It was a sight to behold—Jin Ling, normally so composed, caught in a whirlwind of embarrassment.
Zewu Jun addressed Jiang Cheng with a measured tone. "Don't worry about Young Master Jin Ling, Sect Leader Jiang. This is merely a phase of adolescence; it's what teenagers do." His words were soothing, creating a space for understanding rather than condemnation.
Jiang Cheng stared at Zewu Jun, his expression a mix of confusion and resignation, clearly at a loss for words. He sighed heavily, then turned back to Jin Ling one last time, his frustration not entirely abated. With a huff, he excused himself, only to be met with Huaisang's relentless teasing as they departed together.
