Into The Nightmare

FADE IN:

INT. ASHY DORM'S BATHROOM - DAY

ASHEN PINE stands in the bathroom that's connected to his dorm. He is fixing his bowtie in the vanity mirror. After he finishes messing with the bowtie, he gives himself a good look-over.

Ashen is wearing a newer version of the Beacon Academy's uniform; black blazer with gold buttons and white trim, a red sweater vest over a white button-up, a red and gold bow tie, black dress pants, and black dress shoes.

He sighs at his reflection.

The bathroom door swings open. In the reflection of the mirror, behind Ashen, SUMMER ROSE THE SECOND is standing in the doorway. She is still in her pjs.

ASHEN: Wait your turn, sis.

SUMMER: GET OUT! Class starts in ten minutes! I need to get ready!

ASHEN (teases): You woke up before me. You had plenty of time to get ready before.

SUMMER: I was cleaning my scythe! I lost track of time!

Ashen starts to leave.

ASHEN (teases): Do you need your big bro to keep your butt on track? I thought you were the one who wanted to be a huntress.

Summer pauses.

Then, she looks down.

ASHEN (teases): Summer, if keep blocking the doorway—-

SUMMER: Thanks.

ASHEN: Summer?

SUMMER: For being my partner. I know you don't want to be here.

Ashen smiles. He pats Summer's head.

ASHEN (comforts): It's nothing. You're my baby sis. If me attending Beacon means you get to attend, then I'll do it.

Summer smiles.

ASHEN: But, there's one thing you could do for me, Summer.

SUMMER: That is?

ASHEN: Be nicer to your sisters.

Summer rolls her eyes.

SUMMER: Fine. Now, get out of the bathroom.

Summer shoves Ashen out of the bathroom and closes the door behind him.

INT. ASHY DORM - DAY

HAIL SCHNEE and YING BELLADONNA-XIAO LONG are welding their beds together into a bunk bed. Hail is providing the scrap metal. Ying uses one of her Spark and Boom to weld the metal into place.

Ying is wearing her uniform; a black pinafore dress with gold buttons, a white blouse, a red and gold bow tie and a pair of black mary jane shoes.

YING (beams): All done!

Ashen looks over to his bed. His and Summer's beds are not bunked together.
The room's door starts rattling with knocks.

Ashen answers the door and YORUMI MIDORI comes rushing through the door.

ASHEN (shock): Midori?

MIDORI (panic): The nightmare grimm possessed your sister! I think her name was Selene. It's much worse than last time. Come with me!

Summer barges out the bathroom, in uniform.

INT. HEADMASTER'S OFFICE - DAY

The gears above the office are ticking away.
