FADE IN:

INT. SHOP - DAY

In the nightmare.

A classroom with scattering of weapon parts across the work tables.

ASHEN PINE and HAIL SCHNEE are in the classroom, alone. Hail Schnee is still in their bird form. Ashen has relics of knowledge and destruction. Also, Ashen has his new weapon.

HAIL: Might I ask, why a metal ball?

ASHEN: I was thinking I could use something to throw while I dodge and teleport around. That was what came into my mind.

Hail and Ashen start leaving the classroom.

HAIL: Let's rejoin with the other.

ASHEN: I hope they haven't wandered off too far.

INT. HALLWAY - DAY

The shadow students are roaming the hall.

SUMMER ROSE THE SECOND and YING BELLADONNA-XIAO LONG are standing where the elevator, to the headmaster's office, is supposed to be. There was only a wall there now.

SUMMER (sneezes): Well, the nightmare isn't gonna make it easy as taking the elevator.

YING: Can't you just fly up the tower?

SUMMER (sneezes): Even with my boosted flight, I couldn't even see the top of the tower. Plus, the closer I am to the grimm, the sicker I get and weaker I feel.

YING: I guess we have to get up that tower a different way.

Ashen runs down the hallway to Summer and Ying, Hail flying right behind him. The briar vines on the ceiling shift as the relics pass under them.

ASHEN (scolds): Summer! Ying! There you are! Don't wander off it's dangerous in—-

SUMMER (cuts off ASHEN): Did you pass your class?

ASHEN: Don't change the sub—-

Hail transforms back into a human.

HAIL (cuts of ASHEN): He did.

YING (beams): Oh! Show us!

Ashen shows them the metal ball he made.

YING (beams): That's all you had to make? This is gonna be easy, after all!

ASHEN (frowns): It wasn't that easy, it dangerous in the ha–

A cluster of vines shoots downward to the group. Hail snatches the sword of destruction from Ashen and slices through the vines. The vines turn to dust.

Summer, Ying, and Ashen prepare their weapons as more vines shoot down from the ceiling. They are slicing and exploding the vines as they come.

Then, the vines start to overwhelm them, wrapping around their weapons.

ASHEN: RUN!

The vines are following after the group, as they race down the hallway.

Until Ashen notices an opened door while running.

The opened door's insides are glowing with comforting warm light.

It's calling him.

He beckons the rest to head inside. They all close the door as the vines slam against it.

INT. LIBRARY - DAY

The cathedral windows are glistening with light against bookshelves on the first and second levels. The light blinded anyone from seeing the outside.
