The Crown Is A Lie

FADE IN:

INT. LIBRARY - DAY

In the nightmare.

Back of the library is still in-gulped in darkness.

YING BELLADONNA-XIAO LONG gives SUMMER ROSE THE SECOND a look of confusion.

YING: What just happened?

SUMMER (Somber): a lot and I mess up, big time.

ASHEN PINE and HAIL SCHNEE barges into the library, closing the doors behind them.

Ashen holds up the staff.

ASHEN: A lot just happened!

The group sits down at the table and time passes. Ashen has the staff, Hail has the sword, and Ying is holding the lamp. Summer is looking down at her silver scythe.

SUMMER: ...and that's what happened to me.

ASHEN: That's KINDA like what I just told you all about what happened to me with Selene's memory.

Summer stands up from her seat.

SUMMER (At ASHEN): Except Negative Selene wasn't there and she wasn't crushing you into the ground!

She pauses.

Ashen attention switches from his sister to the darkness in the back.

SUMMER (Regret): She has every reason to be angry with me.

His eyes are transfixed there. Hail's and Ying's attention on Summer. Ying reaches out a hand to her.

YING (Comfort): Summer--

SUMMER (Interrupts YING): DON'T.

Summer's reflection off the scythe, shows her face with her gray eyes.

Ashen quietly gets up and starts walking away from the group. It's calling him.

SUMMER (Regret): I screwed up badly. I hurt Selene over nothing.

Her eyes start tearing-up.

Hail notices Ashen gone and standing right in-front of the darkness.

SUMMER: I NEED TO FI–

HAIL (Calls out): What are you doing, Ashen!

Ashen reaches out his hand and touches the darkness. As he touches the darkness, the whole library gets in-gulped by it.

INT. ELEVATOR - NIGHT

In the real world.

The elevator to the headmaster's office.

EMI SCHNEE-ARC walks into the elevator from the headmaster's office.

She's nervous.

YORUMI MIDORI walks in behind her and holds the elevator door open. He's on his scroll.

MIDORI: No one is gone, yet. My master should be here soon, according to her texts.

EMI (Hopeful): She can help them, right?

MIDORI: She'll at least be able to get everyone out of the nightmare, except for...

Midori pauses.

EMI (Horror): Selene.

MIDORI: Let's hope team ASHY pulls through and saves her.

Emi starts to cry.

Midori lets go of the door and the elevator starts to go down.

Emi crashes against the wall of the elevator.

She falls to the floor.

She curls-up her knees close to her chest and buries face into her knees.
