AVERY FORSYTHE:
What's the reason we can't go for the kill on the Haulage businesses and the Pub.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
we have this business venture three ways, and Finn is away on business to Bulgaria.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
is that the only reason?

CHELSEA MURRAY:
Bernard Tate, he has a rivalry with Will Taylor. None of them want to willingly sell to us anyway we don't have the funds.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
We should take it.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
We are supposed to be a respectable business venture.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
We'll get nowhere. You remember how Bernard Tate started. He poached drivers he didn't care about anything else.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
Finn has gone to Bulgaria to secure funding.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
He might as well have just gone to bed. We need to be underhanded with people. Otherwise, we'll never expand.

TERRY JENKINS:
Just saw your job vacancy in the window. Maybe this job could work both our ways.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
In what way?

TERRY JENKINS:
Maybe i could procure you some inside dirt on Tanners Taxi's.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
What about the pub, or the Haulage businesses.

TERRY JENKINS:
Will Taylor's got three contracts hanging by a thread. His drivers are unhappy-underpaid and overworked. Bernard Tate's not much better. He's trying to muscle Taylor out. They're trying to put each other out of business.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
And the Pub.

TERRY JENKINS:
Those golden oldies, they're training their daughter Julie up, but they are so behind with the Brewery payments that they've got an expenditure as long as Big Ben.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
You're hired, but this has to be on the hush hush.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
Avery, what are you doing?

AVERY FORSYTHE:
To let him walk out the door would be criminal.

TERRY JENKINS:
I want a small piece of the company's you snap up.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
Surely not Avery.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
We'll pay you till we procure something, anyway, when you're not getting us info, would you like to help the house building

TERRY JENKINS:
So long as i get paid, i don't mind.

(Terry exits)

CHELSEA MURRAY:
You know that CY ESTATES is my baby. It has the first letter of my forename and last of my surname, yet you totally go against me.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
I want to be rich by Christmas 1985, not bankrupt. We have to be like the big corporations and step on a few toes to get what we want.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
I don't know.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
There's people who were born to lead and some who were born to follow, and i don't see this businesswoman side that you said you'd be coming out. I may have to cut you loose.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
You can't.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
I could buy you out, and Finn wouldn't care.

(Tears start falling from her cheek)

CHELSEA MURRAY:
That's not true.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
It is true. Finn's not here, is he? He's off in Bulgaria chasing pipe dreams while we're here doing the real work. Face it, Chelsea-you're either with me on this, or you're in my way.

CHELSEA MURRAY
This isn't what we agreed when we started CY ESTATES. This is supposed to work for the people.

AVERY FORSYTHE
Times change. We either change with them, or we get left behind. Now, are you going to help me make this company something real, or are you going to keep pretending to be a businesswoman?

CHELSEA MURRAY:
I hate you, Avery.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
Feelings neutral, i have a 33.3% stake in this company, so don't tell me what i can and can't do and who i can and can't hire. Because you don't hold any majority over me.

(Phone rings)

AVERY FORSYTHE:
Answer it, then.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
CY ESTATES, how can i help.

FINN KENNEDY:
Hi Honey, all is well in Bulgaria they've suggested i go to the Expo in Germany. What do you think.

CHELSEA MURRAY:
Great, would you like to talk to Avery.

FINN KENNEDY:
Hi Avery, how's it going.

AVERY FORSYTHE:
Chelsea isn't well. I think she should sell.

FINN KENNEDY:
This is her brainchild.

AVERY FORSYTHE
That's what concerns me, Finn. She's been... erratic. Making strange decisions. Yesterday she was crying in the office-over nothing at all. I'm worried about her stability.

CHELSEA MURRAY
That's not true! Avery, you can't-

AVERY FORSYTHE
See what I mean? She gets defensive over the smallest things. Last week she missed two important client meetings-claimed she had forgotten. The Chelsea we know doesn't forget meetings.

FINN KENNEDY
Chelsea, is this true?

CHELSEA MURRAY
No! He's twisting everything! The meetings were rescheduled, and I have the letters -

AVERY FORSYTHE
She's been keeping odd hours, talking about radical changes to the business model. Sometimes, she sits there, staring at nothing. I've tried to help, but...Maybe the pressure of running CY ESTATES is too much for her right now.

CHELSEA MURRAY
Finn, don't listen to him! He's trying to force me out. He hired someone today without consulting me. He's planning to-

AVERY FORSYTHE
See how paranoid she's becoming? Everything's a conspiracy against her. First, it was the Tamworths, then Bernard Tate, now me...I hate to say this, Finn, but I think she needs professional help. Not business responsibilities.

FINN KENNEDY
Chelsea, maybe we should talk about this when I get back...

CHELSEA MURRAY
When will that be? After he's taken everything?

AVERY FORSYTHE
She's getting hysterical again. This has happened a lot lately. Look, why don't you focus on the Expo? I'll keep an eye on things here. And on her.

CHELSEA MURRAY
I'm right here! Stop talking about me like I'm not in the room!

AVERY FORSYTHE
You see what I mean? These mood swings... they're getting worse.

[Chelsea grabs her purse and rushes out of the office]

AVERY FORSYTHE
Chelsea, don't be like this! She's been doing this more and more. Storming out, unable to handle normal business discussions. I really think we need to consider what's best for the company... and for her.
