"Tell him to go away."
I raise an eyebrow at Lucia, who seems deeply stressed. Were the cops showing up a big part of their plan or something? Why would they leave it up to Dex, when it doesn't seem like he's in on any of this? Were they just that confident he'd report it?
They want me to tell Dex to go away, for obvious reasons, but why the hell would I do that? If he leaves, I'm dead. If he stays, I'm also probably dead. Then again, if he stays... is he in danger, too? I'd like to minimize the casualties tonight, so... maybe I should? Then again, there goes Willow's chances of getting out of here. If I'm dead, she's... she's just going to end up like all the other copycat victims. Disgraced. The world has already failed her enough.
"Is there someone in there with you?" Dex asks, and Lucia visibly tenses. She seems frustrated, possibly at the fact I'm not answering him, though he can clearly tell there are people in here. After I still don't reply, though it's partially because it hurts to talk and also exist, Lucia does.
"Yeah, I'm here!" She calls back to him. I just rest my head on Willow's shoulder, the nausea getting to be too much. I know it's not the time and place, but I want to take a nap.
"Lucia?" Dex sounds lost, which makes sense. Why on earth would Lucia be here? "What're you doing? Is Camilo okay?"
I can't help it, looking pointedly at the woman with a quirked eyebrow. I'm quite curious as to how exactly she's going to reply to that, because I have been shot and also stabbed, both by her. She doesn't look at me, and I watch as she begins to take steps towards the door.
Kristy looks pissed off. It seems as though her plan getting fucked up has put her in an even worse mood, which is great. My main concern at the moment is the safety of Dex and Willow, because the fact that he has no idea what's going on is not good at all. If Willow weren't here, I'd tell him to go, but I'm not in any state to take care of her. Her odds of survival are higher with him.
"Yeah, he's using the bathroom," Lucia tells him, and I roll my eyes. Seriously? I'm using the bathroom? What a lazy excuse. Believable, but still. It's risky since it could easily come across as a little too convenient. Then again, Dex is pretty trusting. Not blindly so, but he's already close with Lucia. I highly doubt he'll suspect anything's going on.
"What're you doing here?" Dex asks her, which is a valid question since Lucia and Kristy both have absolutely no business in my facility and I'd like them to leave. "You told me to report this place."
Oh shit, he's got her there. That's quite literally what they were just talking about. How confused they were that he didn't report my facility even with Lucia in his ear telling him to do so. Watching this all blow up in their faces is quite satisfying, almost enough for me to be able to ignore the severe amount of pain I'm in. Almost.
"Yeah, I decided to warn Camilo ahead of time," she tells him, and that lie sucks. I already knew, Dex and I got into a whole argument about it. It makes absolutely no sense, but knowing Dex, he's far too polite and trusting to question her further.
