#1: Lizzy May

32 4 4

Once upon a rainy day,

With skies of deepest gray,

She sat upon a cherry log,

And watched the raindrops play.

"Oh my," she said, "Oh, deary me."

"What happened to the sun?"

"I came to play, its gone away,"

"Oh, where, oh, where's the sun?"

She sighed, quite sad, and went away,

To come back on another day,

When sunshine sends the rain away,

Poor Lizzy May, it's not her day.

Author's Note:  Here's the first poem, I hope you liked it. It's one of my favorites that I've written for some reason. =D
