After he saw her in that dress things changed for both of them.
Whenever they were together they both sneaked a touch and a glance here and there.
At night they would sometimes hold each other or wake up like that.
It was little things but it felt natural so they kept going.
Thor teased Loki whenever he could about Loki not having the nerve to reveal his feelings and get it over with but after so long of teasing Loki stopped listening.

The morning had been peaceful so far.
Anna sat in Loki's chambers reading from his large collection of books.
It was peaceful.
She heard the doors open and footsteps fill the room as she continued to read.
Loki walked to her and snatched the book from her.
'Loki" she watched as he placed the book back on the shelf.
"I liked that book," she said.
"We can finish it tonight.
I will read it to you if I must" he said before walking to her again.
He stood between her legs.
"I have something to show you," He said before offering his hand.
She took it and stood up as she looked at him.
He walked out of the room with her and led her to a hidden room locked away for everyone but Anna.
He opened the door and revealed a room full of old scriptures and magical studies.
"This was my mother's.
She was a powerful sorceress and I know she would have wanted to bring you here" he said.
She looked around before turning to look at him.
"This is all so incredible.
Thank you" she said.
He nodded.
"My mother would have adored you.
Sadly she died not knowing you existed" he said.
"I've been reading about the afterlife.
What you all believe in.
I believe she is still here otherwise everything would have fallen apart.
Mothers tend to keep things in order" she said.
"Yes.
She is the reason I've lived for as long as I have" he said.
"I never knew either of my parents do believe me I understand that black hole constantly in your chest" she said.
"I am sorry," he said.
"It's alright.
I barely knew them.
My mom and dad worked for Sheild.
They were both shot during a mission and died in each other's arms.
At least that's what Sheild told me" she said before turning around.
She picked up a book full of ancient spells.
"Am allowed to learn this?" she asked.
"Why else would I bring you here?
This is your space now" he said.
She smiled "How about it be our space?
You can teach me about your Asgardian magic" she said.
He smiled "Of course.
If you wish it I will provide it no matter how difficult.
You will soon learn that I will do anything for you" he said as he walked to her.
She blushed "Dont say that" she said.
He trapped her against a bookcase.
"Why?" he asked.
She looked at him.
"Because I'll build a complex.
Plus I have everything I need now.
What else would I need?" she asked.
He caressed her face.
"I don't know," he said.
She looked at him as she leaned into his touch.
She placed her hand on his.
"You're the best," she said as she looked at him with her glowing blue eyes.
"Am I?" he asked.
She nodded "If I was on earth the best I would get is a free drink and flowers.
You make it easy to forget that I don't truly belong here" she said.
"You do belong here," he said.
She smiled.
"You will always belong here.
If you even think of leaving I will send armies for you.
I will tear the earth apart looking for you" he said.
She looked into his eyes and at that moment something changed.
She had known him his entire life.
He was it.
