The force of the machine's detonation, seconds later, decimated the facility, ripping a hole in the ceiling, and even as the sun came streaming in, Spirit could sense Anubis' presence, feeling out her Aura before the gods headed in their direction. The ordinary street was pandemonium, as people ran screaming around, searching for a way to escape the explosion's source. Zachary scrambled out of the crater quickly, his skin stitching itself back together as he stumbled across the road, blood showering from his broken skin. Spirit had managed to get the others out with the power of time stop, all but for Simon, who was already dead from the initial blast. Another Draedon robot fell from the sky just as Calvin arrived, Damien slung over a shoulder,

"They're coming." Calvin uttered, slumping against the ground as he heaved for air, "and there's nothing I can do to stop them,"

"You and Damien need medical help!" Zachary transformed into a dragon, pulling them onto his back, "I'll take you to the hospital! Spirit, please hold them off for as long as you can,"

"Wait..." Simon croaked, his entire lower body missing from the explosion,

"I'm sorry," Spirit said, a tear trickling down her cheek, "I need all of my energy for this, so doing the healing is out of the question,"

"No!" Simon replied forcefully, "Heed what I have to say!"

"Wha-" Spirit looked up and saw blinding energy of gold, red and green approaching rapidly, "We don't have much time left!"

"Genesis #2" Simon smiled as the life was leaving his eyes, "It wasn't a machine, it was a beacon."

Shu landed first, cracking his knuckles as Anubis dropped before him and Ra behind,

"Genesis #2?" Shu asked, his voice confident, "What's it a beacon for?"

Just as the god realised what was happening, a small drone buzzed around his head quickly, unloading miniature bullets into him. Draedon dashed forward, knocking him backwards with a swipe before his back opened up, a nanotech cannon pointing at the god. It was an improvement on the last few exo-skeletons as this one had no human body to worry about within. A blast of solar energy narrowly avoided Shu, incinerating an entire city block instead. Draedon was glad for the prior explosion which had caused an emergency evacuation warning and minimised civilian casualties,

"He will not be your foe," Anubis murmured, throwing Shu aside with one hand, the Jackal's eyes glowing with green fury, "I shall put an end to this, once and for all."

Draedon flung himself forward again, but just before he could land a punch, Anubis' eyes glowed for a moment. The robot seemed to disappear midair, disintegrated by Anubis' Aura. Spirit threw energy at Anubis, faster and faster, her hands flying as the power struck him again and again,

"You are impressive, but untrained," Anubis remarked warmly, before sending his own energy at her,

The green bolt struck Spirit in the chest, knocking her to the ground, and as she lay there, she could tell that it hadn't even been close to Anubis' full power,

"I have been honing my magical potential for millennia," Anubis smiled sadly, stepping towards Spirit, "And although I wish you could've become my apprentice, I must destroy the rest of the Chrysalis,"

"Shaine!" Spirit roared in desperation, "He's too far stronger than me! I doubt I can even slow him down,"

Wraith's shadowy tendrils, which had been sneaking across the ground suddenly shot up, much to Anubis' surprise. He watched for a moment, before appearing behind Wraith. Spirit was halfway to him, but the magic she flung at him in desperation hit, and Anubis was pushed backwards,
