The new world was glorious, the beaming sun surrounding towering skyscrapers, a shining place with no sign of evil. It was the city before NightHawk had demolished it, before Apis had torn the world asunder with his presence, which was very strange, considering he should have arrived a year prior on the timeline. That had been the time they had selected, when Noctum was still reforming from his fight with Apis, and they could bring him back and heal him so he could defeat Shu and the others, but Draedon's latest machine could not tell where the Chrysalis was,

"We're here," Shaine said, remembering the last time she had been brought into a parallel world, "this is... not as bad as I thought it would be,"

Draedon was deep in thought already, pacing around the street without regard for the people who gazed into the portal in shock and awe. He sent out a pulse from his robotic body, the frequency of the waves making the people very uncomfortable and causing them to scramble,

"Where is Adam?" Wraith asked him, coating the portal in shadows to conceal it, "Can you see with a doohickey?"

"It's not called a doohickey, it's a planetary Aura detector or a PAD," Draedon huffed, "And no, I'm not getting any Chrysalis readings, so I assume that the SCD in this timeline has found Noctum's body and is preserving it in some sort of facility,"

Wraith started down a street,

"I'm gonna just have a look around, get my bearings and maybe I'll bump into one of us from this timeline,"

Draedon paused,

"Wait a minute," He began, his voice icy, "Not only am I not getting any readings from the Chrysalis, I'm only getting two readings from its energy. There are only two superhumans on this earth,"

He looked around even faster now, his almost-human face stricken with horror as he found the direction they would have to move to catch up with the closest energy signature. Then he took off down the road, taking care not to run faster than normal humans could as Wraith followed closely behind. Draedon's signal kept their pathway clear, as it attacked the human subconscious and forced them away with a bad feeling, but as they came up on the signature, the sounds of gunfire aided in this task,

"What's going on?" Wraith asked, as the scene unfolding met their eyes,

A black blur, moving extremely fast, was jumping between gun-men, landing brutal punch after brutal punch as bullets dropped down upon impact. Noctum grabbed one of the biggest guys, throwing him aside like he was a tennis ball, and as he hit the wall, the vigilante turned, locking eyes with Draedon. His eyes opened with shock for a moment, then he quickly ended the remaining gangsters and walked up to the two,

"Who the fuck are you?" Noctum demanded, cracking his neck out as he stared them down, "and what do you want with me?"

Damien's message was sent to every city in the world, and it spread like wildfire through the minds of the people. Anubis had quickly realised what was happening, and Shu had already volunteered to go and talk it out with Burns, to make him stop the mad message,

"We should go to the meeting place as well," Anubis stated to Ra as Shu flew off towards Perth City, "Shu may require assistance,"

"No." Ra responded cooly, "We do not need to help him with this. It has been a long time since we have been here, and I wish to try some things again. I wonder if they still have honey?"

They had set up a base camp in Egypt, where the hot daytime sun catered perfectly to their physiology and where they could look out over at the pyramids that they had helped to create, all those years ago. Anubis utilised his power, summoning a jar of honey from a random grocery in Cairo. It flew towards them, a tendril of green energy gripping it lightly as it was deposited into Anubis' hand,
