"I don't understand what went wrong, what did I do? Dani paces the wooden floor.
"Baby , you didn't do anything!" Santana tries to calm down an upset and sobbing Dani.
"Please don't call me that right now." The short brunette points to the tall women. "How can you do this to me Santana? I mean, after everything that has happened! You actually had the audacity..."
"Dani, you have to believe me what I say that it meant nothing to me."
"Why would you expect me to believe anything you say to me anymore Tana!" Dani stops her pacing to step in front of her tall fiancé.
"C'mon , don't be this way -"
"How can I not! What you did... I mean... just... why?"
"Why, what ?" Santana asked oblivious to the very much obvious question.
"Fuck her, Santana ! Am I not what you want anymore? Was I not good enough?" The short brunette cries.
"Yes ! You're more than enough to me. You're absolutely everything to me Danielle. I realize what I did okay, and if I had no fucks about you I would have never told you the truth ! But I love you and you deserved to know... it's just... she was there Dani. I needed someone so badly to comfort me and she..." Santana sniffs.
"What about me? I was the one who just lost our baby... I needed you the most, how do you think I was feeling, you fucking bitch!"
Dani hardly ever raised her voice. In situations like these she was mostly calm and collected, but when your fiancé, the one person who you wanted to spend your life with betrays you... I mean, out of all her past relationships Santana was the one.
"I-I'm sorry, okay... baby I don't know what else to say, because I can't take it back no matter how much I regret it."
"You don't have to say anything else." Dani looked down to her left hand and started to twiddle with her ring... Thinking? Slowly sliding off her princess cut, 6 carrot engagement ring.
"Dani... w-wait , what are you doing?" Santana panics.
"I'm done Tana." She hands Santana the shiny ring that's laid on her finger for the past year and a half. "You can't cheat on me and expect me to still marry you."
"Don't do this, please ! No, Dani ! Baby please don't leave me !" She screams. "Dani ! No, please stop!"
She jolts awake form her nightmare , maybe more like a horrific memory.
Santana turned to her left to see the empty space on her bed that the perky short brunette still claims.
She ran both her hands through her hair. "It was just a dream" she thought to herself. But it's been the same dream for the past 2 years. One that she wishes that will go away forever. It makes its constant appearance in her dreams every time she's alone in bed.
Santana pushes the thick blanket away from her and gets out of bed, she makes her way to the lavender nursery that's just down the hall. As she approaches the door, she notices her girlfriend sitting on the living chair with a baby girl in her arms.
"Um, hey." she knocks softly on the door and makes her way in.
"Hi baby. What are you doing awake so early in the morning?"
Santana looks at the digital clock that rests on the side table by the door. 3:27 am. All Santana does was shrug at Dani.
"Oh my god Santana... Did you have a dream again." Santana nods slowly and ashamed. "Go back to the room baby, I'll be there in a bit."
Santana lets out a small "okay" and makes her way back to the bedroom. After about 11 minuets of waiting , Dani enters their room. She lays next to the tall raven haired girl.
"Tana... look at me." she sighs when she doesn't get a response. "Baby..."
"I-I ca-an't ... I'm sorry..." Santana sniffs.
"There's nothing to be sorry for baby, it was just a dream. I'm here okay.. believe me, I'm here."
"Every time I see it, I just... it's so real Dani... because it was."
"I know San but I'm not going anywhere. I promise you. That happened ages ago and we're back together. I know you're sorry, you just need to know that I forgive you. I don't care about the past, our future is here, we get married in a couple of weeks. We have Sophia now, and we are happy. And I love you." she smiles.
"I know Dan, I love you too. So much."
