Minutes seem to last for hours. They're all just silently looking at the castle. No one knows what's happened, where they are, if they're safe. In no time almost the entire castle has burned down. It's only the west wing that's still holding up.

Gradually, more and more people are coming out of their houses to see what's going on, looking shocked at the burning castle in front of them. Ben's still not taking his eyes off the castle, looking for any movement coming out of it.

Suddenly, everyone in the crowd is pointing at something, looking at the west door. "Is that...?" Jane starts, not wanting her hopes to get up.

"Mal!" Ben exclaims, immediately starting to run into her direction.

When he reaches her, he pulls her into a tight hug, not wanting to ever let her go again. "Don't ever leave me again, please..." he sobs.

"I won't," she promises her, also crying as she holds him close.

He looks into her eyes, wiping a few tears from her cheeks. "I love you," he tells her.

"I love you, too," she says, smiling broadly, as he pulls her into a kiss.

The entire crowd is looking at the scene in awe. "You guys..." Evie, Jane and Lonnie sigh in unison, looking at them with a smile on her face.

"I'm so glad you're okay..." Belle says. The group all come together for a group hug.

"But uhm, what are we going to do about this giant burning castle behind us?" Jay asks them, getting back to reality.

"Are the pirates still inside?" Troy asks.

"How on earth did this even happen?" Audrey asks.

Mal looks at Fairy Godmother, waiting for her to explain everything.

"Well, we went inside and looked for the pirates and when we found them I cast a spell, like we had planned," she explains. "But that didn't work as it was supposed to, and before we knew it, the entire castle was going up in flames. I think it had something to do with the spells they had already used on the castle that probably tempered with my spell, but we couldn't really do anything about it anymore at that point. We just started running with the pirates a few feet behind us. When we reached the west wing, the ceiling came falling down between us and the pirates, trapping them in the great hall. We couldn't really do anything, so we kept running and luckily made it out."

"So... they're still in there?" Chad asks.

"If they didn't find another way out, then yes," Mal confirms.

"Well, that's a painful way to go..." Lonnie says, looking at the castle.

"I can try to douse the fire with a spell, but I'm not sure if it will work this time," Fairy Godmother suggests, taking her wand.

"We can at least try," Ben agrees.

She holds the wand up and clears her throat. "Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo," she calls, loud and clear.

A bright beam of light fills the air around the castle. It is so blinding that they can barely see the castle anymore, only the outlines. The light finally dims after a good minute, revealing the castle in its original state.

They all look amazed at it, and then their eyes fall on something next to the castle. The group of pirates sitting on the ground, tight up together with ropes. Everyone is completely silent, feeling a big relief and peace around them after all those months of suffering.

Then everyone starts clapping, cheering, hugging one another. They're free again, the kingdom is back to what it was.

The rest of the day, Fairy Godmother uses her wand to clean the entire kingdom. Everything is restored to its original state. People are decorating the city, playing music, and dancing in the streets.

In the park there's a big celebration going on. The friends all gather together to join in. Ben and Mal are sitting on a bench with their daughter, watching people dance under the beautiful, star-filled night sky.

In one week, everything will be going back to normal. They're going back to school and work, worrying about nothing but their everyday problems.

Mal looks at Ben and smiles. He leans in for a kiss, holding her close to him. After everything they've been through she's so glad he's there with her. There's so much still to come, a long way ahead of them, but as long as they have each other, everything will be alright. Or as Ben says: I'm going to be Always by your Side.

THE END
