Chapter 3

"What in the name of Poseidon was that?!" Harry yells, when Uma finally walks into the Chip Shoppe.

"Oh, chill your balls, Harry," she tells him, rolling her eyes, sitting down at the bar. "It wasn't going to work out either way."

"So, now you're just giving up?" he asks her, standing next to her chair.

"Of course not," she says, grabbing the plate of chips from the pirate who's sitting next to her.

"Ah-ha, okay, so then- what's the plan? Because the way I see it, we're stuck on this damn island with no way out!" he tells her, as frustrated as ever.

"Jesus, what's with the attitude?" she sighs, eating the chips calmly so.

"You just let them win! Just like that, you stand down and let them take everything again! You call yourself our captain, but no captain would ever be such a coward!" he tells her, wiping the plate of fries off the bar.

Uma grumbles something and gets up from the chair, done with Harry's temper. "We'll get our second chance, I'm already working on it. But unless you get yourself in line again, you won't live to see us take over that damn kingdom, do I make myself clear, Hook?!"

"Aye aye, Captain," he quickly agrees, startled by her sudden outburst.

"Good, now, go make yourself useful and clean this shit up," she orders, pointing at the chips on the floor, and then walking off.

"Hey, what took you guys so long?" Carlos asks Ben and Mal when they finally join them for lunch.

"Oh, we uhm, we couldn't find her uh- her student id," Ben makes up, showing the little card, which they also use to get lunch in the cafeteria.

"Right, okay, well you did miss Jay showing us how he can fit 20 carrots in his mouth," Lonnie says, still laughing.

"Oh trust me, we've seen that plenty of times," Mal assures her.

"Everyone has their talents, huh..." Evie says.

Ben's phone rings and he looks to see it's Lumière calling. "I have to get this real quick," he excuses himself.

"Who's that?" Jane asks Mal.

She shrugs her shoulders. "I'm guessing someone from the palace or something."

"He has been quite busy with his king stuff lately, huh?" Carlos observes.

"Must be something going on somewhere in the kingdom," Lonnie guesses.

"Well, I hope it'll be solved soon," Mal sighs, looking to see her boyfriend already walking back to the table.

"Sorry, that was just Lumière calling to confirm the time the new vk's are coming over tomorrow," he tells them.

Evie looks at him. "What?! They're coming tomorrow already?! Is that why you've been so busy lately?!"

Ben laughs, finding her reaction quite amusing. "Yes, I wanted it to get done as quickly as possible. They also deserve their fair chance here, so starting tomorrow there will be a new group of vk's coming over every week."

"O my God, that's amazing!" Evie exclaims. "Is Dizzy coming tomorrow as well?"

"Yes, of course, I made sure she'd be in the first group," he tells her.

Evie smiles and turns to Mal. "You have an amazing boyfriend, do you know that?"

Mal chuckles. "So I've been told," looking at the boyfriend in question and smiling lovingly at him.
