"Morning sunshine," Evie says, cheery. "Finally decided to wake up, huh?"

Mal grumbles, rolling over in her bed. "Whoever thought it was a good idea to make school start so damn early?"

"The person who found out that this way we are done by 3 instead of 6 and we can get other things done in the afternoon," Evie informs her, looking through her papers.

"What are you looking for?" Mal asks her, slowly sitting up, trying not to fall asleep again.

"Well, after Cotillion I suddenly got all these people wanting me to design their outfits for upcoming events, and I had them sorted in a folder, but I don't know where I left it and I need them this afternoon," she tells her, walking over to her nightstand.

"Do you mean that blue folder with that glitter vomited all over it?" Mal asks her.

"Uh- yeah, how did you know?" she asks, chuckling a bit at her comment.

"I saw it last night in Jay and Carlos' dorm room and I thought 'wow Evie has really influenced their style'," Mal tells her.

"Of course, I probably left it there after our study sesh yesterday," Evie tells her.

"Oh so that's where you were yesterday night," Mal says. "I was already wondering how I could've been back in our room before you, you almost skipped curfew."

"Oh, right, no yeah, I just lost track of time a bit, you know how I get while studying," she rattles.

Mal raises her eyebrows, sensing some nervosity in her best friend's voice. "Ah-ha, okay then," Mal says, finally getting out of her bed. "Let's go get ready, they're probably already waiting for us in the cafeteria."

"And late again," Jay says when Mal and Evie finally walk up to their usual table in the cafeteria.

"Yeah, well, someone did not want to get out of bed," Evie says, obviously pointing her head at Mal.

"I'm sorry that I'm not a crazy morning person like you," she says, rolling her eyes. "Talking of morning persons; has anyone seen the bright and jolly boy that is my boyfriend?"

"He had some king stuff to do before school, something going on at the castle, but he'll be back before second period," Troy, son of Tiana and Naveen, tells them. He's been Ben's best friend since kindergarten and they share everything with each other.

"Hard working as always," she sighs. "Well, I'll just save him a seat then."

"Oh and Evie, you left your folder in our dorm yesterday afternoon," Carlos tells her, handing her the blue map.

"Afternoon?" Mal questions. "I thought you were with them last night?"

"What?" Jay asks. "No, I was giving Carlos an extra training session last night."

Mal looks at Evie, raising her eyebrows. "Uh, care to explain?"

Evie looks at Troy, who gives her a supportive smile. "Well, we didn't want to tell you all yet, as it is still quite new, but Troy and I are... dating," she confesses to their friends.

"Wait- for real?" Mal asks, totally surprised. How has she not noticed anything? They do make a beautiful couple, though she thought Evie was still a bit hung up on Doug, but apparently she has already moved on. "That's so cute, you guys," she says, feeling really happy for her sister. This is going to be great, her best friend going out with her boyfriend's best friend.

Jay and Carlos agreed with her that they are perfect for each other, smiling proudly that their sister has such a great guy after dating such a loser. Jane and Lonnie also couldn't agree more, knowing how big of a crush Troy has had on her for months. "How long has this been going on?" Jane asks them.
