FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN: UNEXPECTED MEET

CHAPTER 10

Gwen's POV

The next day

      " Thank you" I smiled at the mechanic who helped in fixing my car.
  " You're welcome ma'am" the man said as he took his leave.
    After the mechanic left, I went into my house. Gosh! What am I gonna do now? I asked myself. As I lay on the couch, I received a call from Jess
      " Hey " I said
  " What's up with the hey?" She questioned " you know Gwen I have an idea"
     " What's it " I asked
  " What about checking online for a job, isn't that a great idea?" She stated
   " Yeah, Jess I'm moving out today " I said
   " Is it already Tuesday?" She asked
       " Yes " I said
   " Ok, good luck with packing. " She sounded sad but I couldn't help it. We've been together for four years and now everything is going to change, I'm going to miss her. I hung up the call and curled on the couch.

     I packed my things and stared at the room then some memories flashed
    " Hey Godzilla" it was Halloween so Jess wore a unicorn costume " look am a magical unicorn" Jess made a different pose as if she's a supermodel.
    " But Jess' unicorn flies, do you know that?" I said
   " They do" her eyes widened in surprise
" So you don't know before" I stared at her in disbelief
    " I was scammed, I need a refund" I laughed at her and she stared angrily
   " What's funny?" She asked
  " Sometimes I think you're smart but you seem to have fish brain a times" I stood up because I knew what was coming
    " Fish brain" she scoffed " I'll show you what a fish brain can do" she ran at me
     I screamed as I ran around the house,
  " Come back here Godzilla, come and taste the power of a fish brain" she stated.
    She tried to target me but couldn't because of her costume. It was funny how she walked in the costume like a penguin.
I laughed again and I felt a hot glare on me.
   " You! " She pointed at me
     " I didn't do anything" I said
  " Yes you did something, I'm going to get you for imagining me in an awkward moment" she said.
     " You can't" l rolled my eyes and smirked.
    " Gosh I hate you now " she charged up to me in a swift and we both landed on the floor
    " I've got you now " she used the horn on the unicorn to rub my face and seems it's soft, it tickled.
    " Stop, " I laughed.
  I also remembered how we met in college
    " Hey stupid" I yelled at some boys who gathered around her.
    " Who are you calling stupid" one of the boys said.
       " I don't like repeating myself you know" I walked up to them.
    I saw Jess on the ground covered in dirt, then I said " you boys are nincompoop and need serious beating" I rolled my long sleeve up and blew a big bubble from my chewing gum.
      The group of boys laughed as if I was performing a show, then one of the boys came towards me and said " go before I do something you might not like"
    I rolled my eyes, " I'm not going anywhere until you leave this place" I glared at him.
     The boy chuckled and said " you leave me with no choice princess"
     He made a move to punch my stomach but I quickly moved and caught his hands, then I twisted it while making him fall on his knees. The rest of the boys gave me an angry glare and I smirked. It's on, I said in my mind. I fought them mercilessly and they all left with tears in their eyes.
   " Never mess with me" I mumbled and turned to Jess. She seemed scared and I stretched my hands out for her to get up. She took my hands and thanked me, I only smiled and weirdly felt it was a new start of something but I couldn't tell what it was.
   After that day, Jess and I grew close and from then on we promised to look out for each other.

   As the memory ends, I felt sad because I'll miss all our crazy and fun moments together.

Jason's POV
  
      I sat down in my office and called for Jeff, then he came in a swift.
   " Sir I'm here" Jeff slightly bowed.
" Ummm, I want you to go to miss Gwen's house and help her pack her things" I stated.
   " Ok sir and I'll call for another driver for you" Jeff
   " Ok" I said.
   After he left, I smirked because step one of my plan had worked. Now I have to devise a way for her to work in my company, I said in my mind. I took out a cigarette and lit it, then I let out a smoke.

    I got home late because I was busy with tons of things to sign and approve. Once I entered the house, I was greeted with a sweet aroma. As I walked towards the kitchen, I saw the housemaid and Gwen but the maid wasn't doing much work as Gwen. Then the maid said something which made Gwen laugh and I heard her say " I normally prepare dinner at home for me and my friend"
   " Madam, your friend is so lucky to have you"  the maid respond
    " Yeah " I saw her smile then it was replaced with a sad face " let me check the food now " she turned around and moved towards the stove, then she swiftly packed the food in a big fancy tray.
       " When will Mr Feyers be back?" Gwen asked the maid
       I left the arena quietly and went into my room. Once I was inside my room, I did all the necessary things and went downstairs. As I walked to the living room, I saw Gwen seated as she was engrossed with her phone. I sat beside her but it seems she hadn't noticed my presence when the maid came to the living room.
   " Good evening sir" the maid greeted " I'll set the table" she turned around and left for the kitchen.
    " Good evening Mr Feyers" Gwen stated " I didn't know you've come back" she looked at me sternly
   " I'm here now," I said.
" Ok" Gwen stood up " the food is already set Mr Feyers" she gestured for us to go to the dining room.

    I was done eating when Gwen asked
" Mr Feyers did you enjoy your food"
      " Uh huh" I mumbled
  " Ok" she continued to eat
      I stood up and went to the study room. As I sat on the chair, I looked at the document I printed then Gwen came in.
    " You called me Sir" she said
  " Have a seat and read this. It's the terms and conditions."  I looked at her " study it well, Mrs Feyers and everything written inside the document must not be taken as a joke. I hope you understand" I stated
     " Yes sir" Gwen took the document and left the room.
