For the rest of the week I stayed in the hospital. I got extremely bored even though Rhys and Romeo came daily to see me. I haven't seen Kai since out last talk and I honestly didn't want to see his face right now.
I got dressed with a black oversized t-shirt and some baggy jeans, Romeo brought over from the mansion and walked with him toward the car.
I don't know if I should just pack all my things and get into the first flight I find available straight to Russia or have one last talk and take my goodbye from Kai.
I'll miss him. I'll admit that. He grew on me in these past few weeks we've been together.
Romeo opened the door for me and I got inside the SUV. I thanked him and looked out the window as he drove away. "You good there, princess?"
"Perfect." I whispered. I was not. My wound was still healing but it wasn't hurting as much and I could move freely without pain but that wasn't what hurt me the most. It was Kai. He didn't even came to visit this week or even now. He instead sent his cousin who I'm sure has other problems on his plate.
I didn't want to call Rhys to pick me up, who was still in town at a hotel because he would have drove straight for the airport.
After a drive of am hour in complete silence we reached the gates of the mansion. I had a strange feeling in my gut but I ignored it.
I got out of the car and Romeo followed me inside. "I'm going to my room to take a shower. You're okay I'm your own, princess?" He said. I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not made of porcelain, I'll be fine." He chuckled and turned to leave "actually if Kai around?" I asked. His body tensed.
"He's busy with his father." I frowned. He returned from Italy? When? Instead I nod and head towards my room to shower and pack.
I've decided, I'm leaving tomorrow, first thing in the morning. I don't want to torment myself any longer than necessary.
Book a flight for Russia tomorrow morning. I'm leaving. I sent Rhys a quick text message before turning it off and stepping into the shower.
The warmth was imediate, soothing as it cascaded over my sore muscles and aching body. I closed my eyes, letting the water run down my face, washing away the hospital air. For a moment there was nothing but the sound of water hitting the tiles, the steady stream drowning everything else.
I pressed my palms against the cool tiles, leaning forward as the water flower over my back.
After what felt like an eternity, I turned off the shower. The bathroom was filled with steam. The mirror fogged over as I felt a little lighter, a little more like myself.
I reached for a white towel and dried off slowly, careful of my wound, before slipping into a comfortable set of new clothes.
When I stepped into the room, I started packing. I wanted to finish this as fast as I could.

Romeo let me know he's going out as I made myself something to eat into the kitchen. It was already dark when I stepped out of my room.
Biting the sandwich I decided to walk around the house to get used to walking again because of one week of staying just in bed.
I walked around slowly, looking at the decorations I didn't pay attention before. My shoes were making the fainted echo on the polished floors as I passed various rooms.
As I rounded a corner, I noticed something odd, a part of the wall was slightly ajar. It looked like a door blending seemlessly into the stonework. I wouldn't have seen it if not for the faint outline it made under the dim light of the corridor. Curiosity sparked in my chest. I approached it carefully, my fingers brushing the cool surface before pushing it open just enough to slip inside.
