When Mittelt didn't return that night, everyone began to suspect she'd been killed. All it took to confirm that was a scout mission. That was how we found her charred and battered corpse. Upon returning to the church, we began discussing her failure.
Raynare: Looks like she was all bark and no bite. Pathetic.
Y/n: She was overconfident. I suppose I should thank Issei though. He clipped one of our weakest wings.
Dohnaseek: If he survived then he's likely in the clutches of Gremory and her crew. This puts us at a huge disadvantage.
Y/n: I am aware. However, we may yet have salvation. Our nun friend arrives soon does she not?
Dohnaseek: Yes.
Y/n: Good. I heard tell of a stray exorcist group close by. Perhaps we can rein them in as allies for the time being.
Dohnaseek: Good idea. Shall I take care of it?
Y/n: No. Kala will do it. That wont be a problem for you will it?
Kalawarner: Not at all. I shall see it done.
Y/n: Good. Report back to me when you secure them.
Kalawarner: Will do.
Y/n: As for the rest of you, go find something else to do. I'm going for a ride.
I stood up from my seat and headed outside where my bike was waiting. It was in the same spot I left it last time, next to a ruined gravestone. I walked out to the street and got on, putting the key in the ignition. Firing the starter, I retracted the kickstand and blasted off down the street.

Issei was walking to school the next day, listening to music through his headphones. He failed to notice the person walking in front of him until it was too late. He bumped into them, knocking them down.
???: Oh dear.
Issei(in mind): Huh?
He took his headphones off and looked at the person on the ground before him.

Issei: Its no problem.
He knelt and helped the girl pick up her things. Once that was done he offered her his hand and helped her stand.
Issei: Are you new in town? I don't think I've seen you before.
???: Yes. I was transferred to the church here, but I'm lost. Do you think you could show me the way?
Issei: Sure, why not? I can spare a few minutes before going to school.
