I sat on the bedside with nothing but my pants on while a naked Raynare was sleeping soundly next to me. Having sex with one of my subordinates was never the plan, but it wasn't bad. She knew what she was doing. Suddenly, a loud knock brought me back to my senses.

Y/n: Who is it?

Dohnaseek: Got a minute, boss?

I sighed, quickly getting dressed and heading to the door before opening it.

Y/n: What is it?

Dohnaseek: Well, since you mentioned picking something up tonight, I thought I'd swing by this new sushi joint that opened a while ago.

Y/n: Fine by me.

Dohnaseek: Alright then. Oh, by the way, maybe be a little quieter next time? Asia's face was so red she might as well have been sunburned from all the noise you two were making.

Y/n(smirks): Oh really? I'll keep that in mind.

Dohnaseek: I should probably leave now.

Y/n: Yeah.

I closed the door and went into the bathroom. After splashing some water on my face, I looked into the mirror. The sight I saw was one I yearned to forget, yet it stayed with me despite my best efforts. All I saw were the parts of myself that I'd inherited from my father. I hated my angel side almost as much as I hated my father himself. If I could, I'd rip it out and crush it beneath my boots. As I went through my daily routine of cursing half of my heritage, I was suddenly overcome with a wave of rage. Clenching my fist, I punched the mirror and shattered it. As the blood dripped from my knuckles, I simply stared at it before using some of my mana to heal. I left the bathroom to see that Raynare had woken up. She seemed content as she stretched.

Raynare: That was great. Thank you.

Y/n: Dont mention it.

I walked over to the bed and sat down, facing away from her, sighing.

Raynare: What's wrong?

She wrapped her arms around my chest as she hugged me from behind.

Y/n: I need your help with something.

Raynare: What is it?

Raynare and I walked out of my room right as Dohnaseek was about to leave to pick up tonight's food.

Y/n: Wait a minute Dohnaseek. Raynare and I will go. I need to run some errands in town anyway.

Dohnaseek: You sure?

Y/n: Yeah. If you want to do something, work with Kala to coordinate our efforts with the priests.

Dohnaseek: Alright. I'll text you the address of the place. Try not to get lost, boss.

Y/n: Will do.

The two of us left the church and got on my bike before heading into town. It didn't take long before we found the place. It was a quaint little place tucked between a couple of buildings in downtown Kuoh.

Raynare: I'll go in and get it.

Y/n: You're gonna need money.

Raynare: Not if I manage to charm my way to-

Y/n: Not happening. We're trying to lay low here, not build up a reputation. Use this.

I handed her my wallet before jerking my head toward the door. She sighed and playfully rolled her eyes before walking inside. While I waited I listened to some music through my headphones. On our way back we'd be making another stop so Raynare could help me with the task I'd told her about before leaving. It would hurt, but to cleanse myself of the physical aspects of my fallen angel side, it had to be done. While I was listening to my favorite song, I suddenly felt a presence that reeked of violence and hate. I stopped leaning against my bike and looked around. I felt a trace of it a few buildings down, so I went to investigate.
