Kuroo leaned against the sleek black car, his phone in hand, casually scrolling through messages as he waited outside Kenma's house. He dialled Kenma's number and waited for him to pick up.
"I'm outside," Kuroo said when Kenma answered.
"I'm coming, one second" Kenma replied in a hurry
Moments later, Kenma stepped out of his front door, as Kuroo's jaw nearly dropped. Kenma, in a fitted suit that looked like it was made just for him, walked down the steps with a hint of reluctance but all the elegance of someone who belonged in the spotlight.
"Oh wow," Kuroo said, his voice full of awe. "You look amazing."
Kenma glanced down at himself, adjusting his sleeves slightly, a bit awkward. "I had to look good for my boyfriend's premiere, didn't I?"
Kuroo chuckled, still stunned. "You're gonna take all the attention away from me."
Kenma raised an eyebrow, clearly not used to compliments like that. "Isn't that the point? All eyes on me?"
Kuroo smirked. "Touché." He quickly walked over, opening the door to the car. "After you, Mr. Superstar."
Kenma rolled his eyes but got in, settling into the plush leather seat. Kuroo slipped in beside him, and the door shut with a soft click. The driver, without a word, pulled away from the curb, heading towards the premiere.
As the city lights flickered by outside the window, Kuroo glanced at Kenma, a satisfied grin spreading across his face. "Ready for your big debut on the red carpet?"
Kenma huffed, crossing his arms. "I'm not here for attention. That's your job."
Kuroo chuckled. "We'll see about that."
When they arrived at the premiere, the car slowed to a stop in front of a buzzing crowd. Bright lights flashed incessantly, and the red carpet stretched out before them, filled with celebrities, photographers, and reporters. Kuroo glanced at Kenma, who was visibly trying to hide his discomfort behind his usual calm expression.
"Here we go," Kuroo muttered, pushing open the door and stepping out first. He turned back to offer his hand to Kenma, who hesitated for only a moment before taking it and stepping out of the car.
The flashing intensified the moment Kenma's feet hit the carpet. Paparazzi swarmed the edges, cameras clicking non-stop as they captured every movement. Kuroo, used to the attention, smiled confidently, guiding Kenma through the chaos.
"Kuroo! Over here!"
"Kodzuken! Look this way!"
Kenma adjusted his posture, trying to stay composed. Kuroo leaned over and whispered, "Just relax. You're doing great."
Kenma gave a slight nod, though his grip on Kuroo's hand tightened as they moved forward. A reporter quickly approached them, microphone in hand.
"Kuroo, Kenma! Can we get a quick interview?" the reporter asked eagerly, eyes gleaming with excitement.
Kuroo glanced at Kenma, who gave a subtle shrug, then turned back to the reporter. "Sure."
The reporter smiled brightly. "You both look fantastic tonight. Kenma, it's rare to see you at an event like this. How does it feel to be on the red carpet with your boyfriend for his premiere?"
Kenma blinked at the question, clearly unaccustomed to this kind of attention. "Uh... it's different," he said, his voice low. "Not really my scene, but... Kuroo wanted me here."
Kuroo laughed softly. "Yeah, I couldn't show up without him, right? He's kind of a big deal."
The reporter grinned. "And how's the relationship going? Fans are loving the dynamic between you two."
