Under the bright lights of the interview set, Kuroo sat beside his castmates, Mika and Daishou. They'd been in back-to-back interviews for the past few days, riding the high of their latest movie's release. The room was buzzing with energy as the interviewer looked over her notes, eyes sparkling with excitement."So, congratulations on the massive success of the film!" the interviewer said, her enthusiasm infectious. "It's safe to say people are absolutely loving it. The chemistry, the action, the twists-it's all incredible. So, I have to ask, and I'm sure fans are dying to know... is there a chance for a sequel?"
Mika chuckled, glancing sideways at Kuroo and Daishou. "Well, we'd love to give you an answer, but..."
"We'd get in a lot of trouble if we did," Daishou finished with a grin, causing the others to laugh.
Kuroo shrugged, adding, "All I'll say is the story definitely has room for more."
The interviewer leaned in conspiratorially. "That sounds promising! You heard it here first, folks. But I'll respect the mystery... for now."
After a few more questions about the cast's favourite moments during filming, memorable scenes, and the challenges of bringing their characters to life, the interviewer glanced down at her final question, her smile widening a bit.
"And now, Kuroo, I think I'd be doing everyone a disservice if I didn't bring up your recent relationship reveal. It's been a huge topic online. So, tell us-how did it all come about?"
There was a brief pause as Kuroo's mind raced. He could feel Mika and Daishou's curious glances on him, but he kept his expression calm. While he didn't feel the need to mention the whole PR arrangement, he knew he couldn't avoid the question entirely.
"Well," he said, a soft smile settling onto his face, "Kenma and I met a little unexpectedly, but sometimes the best things happen that way, right? We were both a bit... wary about being in the public eye, but the more time we spent together, the easier it got to just be ourselves. The rest... kind of just happened naturally."
Daishou nudged him, grinning. "So, no spoilers about the relationship either, huh?"
Kuroo chuckled, giving Daishou a playful shove. "Gotta keep some mystery alive, don't I?"
The interviewer nodded, clearly satisfied. "That's lovely, Kuroo. Wishing you both all the happiness. And to wrap things up, best of luck to all three of you-can't wait to see what's next for each of you."
As the cameras cut and the interview wrapped up, Mika leaned over with a smirk. "You're getting pretty smooth with these relationship answers."
Kuroo shrugged, trying to play it cool. "You know, just keeping it professional."
Daishou raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. "Sure. Professional."
Kuroo rolled his eyes, but he couldn't help the small smile. "Alright, alright. Let's just say it's... complicated. But a good kind of complicated."
---
Later that night, as Kuroo headed home, he pulled out his phone, scrolled through a few messages. He spotted one from Kenma, who'd clearly been keeping tabs on the interview streams.
Kenma: "You're really good at dodging questions."
Kuroo: "Years of practice. You should try it sometime. Want to come over? Think we need to celebrate my PR skills."
Kenma: "I'll think about it. Only if you have snacks."
Kuroo: "Always do. See you soon?"
Kenma: "Yeah. I'll bring the game controller."
