Kuroo stood in the hotel room doorway, tapping his shoe against the floor as he watched Hanzo scramble to grab his things."Come on, Hanzo! If we don't leave now, we'll miss the game!" Kuroo urged, waving his little brother forward.
"Okay, okay, I'm ready!" Hanzo huffed, slinging his backpack over his shoulder and bounding over. They headed down to the lobby, stepping outside to the hum of Hong Kong's streets. Bright signs hung overhead, advertising shops and restaurants, and the tall buildings loomed, mirroring each other in endless windows. Taxis honked as they zipped by, and groups of people crowded the sidewalks.
"Woah, this place is so busy," Hanzo whispered, looking everywhere at once.
Kuroo grinned. "Yeah, it's pretty amazing, huh?"
Soon, they reached the venue, where crowds of fans were already gathering for the tournament. Kuroo pulled out his phone, quickly scrolling through his messages until he found Kenma's last text, mentioning he'd be in the training room.
Following the directions Kenma had sent, they wound down a hallway lined with multiple rooms. Kuroo paused, glancing at his phone and the doors, unsure which room to is Nekoma's.
Suddenly, a familiar face appeared. "Kuroo!" Akaashi called out, walking over with his usual calm smile. "Need some help?"
Kuroo nodded, looking relieved. "Yeah, thanks, Akaashi. You know where Kenma's room is?"
"Right this way." Akaashi motioned for them to follow, leading them through a few turns before stopping in front of a door marked with Nekoma's emblem.
As they entered, Kuroo's gaze landed on Kenma, who was seated at a gaming setup, his focus entirely on the screen. Kenma was concentrated, fingers moving with precision as he practiced, the glow of the monitor illuminating his face.
"Kenma's in the zone," Kuroo muttered to himself, smiling.
Just then, Yaku approached, smiling warmly as he took in Hanzo's wide-eyed excitement. "You must be Hanzo, We've heard quite a bit about?"
Hanzo nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! It's so cool to meet you!"
Yaku chuckled, his eyes flicking to Kuroo, who was watching Kenma with a barely hidden smile. He seemed to pick up on the situation and turned back to Hanzo. "Hey, how about a tour of the place? You want to see where we train and hang out before matches?"
Hanzo's eyes sparkled as he glanced up at Kuroo for approval.
Kuroo nodded. "Go ahead, Hanzo. I'll catch up with you in a bit."
With a quick goodbye, Hanzo followed Yaku out, leaving Kuroo alone in the training room with Kenma.
Kuroo walked up behind Kenma quietly, watching him work, utterly focused on the screen. With a soft grin, he leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on Kenma's cheek.
Kenma jumped slightly, surprised, before realizing who it was. He glanced at Kuroo, a slight blush coloring his cheeks, but he kept his gaze on the screen, laughing softly. "Hold on-give me just one more second."
Kuroo chuckled, leaning against the back of Kenma's chair as he watched him finish. Kenma's fingers danced across the keyboard with a practiced ease, and within moments, he'd completed his round. He turned in his chair, a warm smile spreading across his face.
"You finally made it," Kenma said, his eyes bright.
Kuroo returned the smile, his gaze soft. "Wouldn't miss it for the world. Hanzo's over the moon to be here. Yaku's showing him around."
