CHAPTER 3

Personal log, commander shinji ikari, june 21 2560

We have been adrift for two months I had hopes that the humanity of this universe was spacefaring and we'd meet one of their ships to lend aid, but so far the only ships we've found have become hostile, fortunately their defenses are ripped apart by the halcyon's MAC gun

still its only been two months, and we are on sublight, so im holding out hole that maybe we just haven't entered their space yet

"Your report commander" the intelligence officer said, having come aboard the infinity to hand me a report on fleet status

"Thank you" i said, looking over the report, I sighed, we were fortunate in that the infinity still had supplies onboard

"Sir, I'm picking up an incoming vessel" relena said

"I see, well better be prepared then, all hands to battlestations, after the last several encounters I'm not taking any chances" I said

"A message is being sent out from the vessel" relena said

"This is captain kathryn janewy of the federation starship voyager, qs havs noticed yiyr vessels moving at sublight speeds and ask if toy reauire assistance" a woman said

"That's a human name, finally, relena answer it" I said, relena nodded

"This is commander shinji ikari, i am currently commanding the UNSC infinity and other rescused UNSC ships, I do not recognize your federation, I'm afraid" I said, there was a pause

"Commander, we do not recognize this UNSC, yet we are both human, where do you originate" janeway asked

"Earth, of course, and you" I asked

"We are from earth as well, perhaps wd should meet in person commander, see if we cant figure out our situation" janeway said

"I can agree to this, I'll have a pelican prepared and will be along shortly" I said

Voyager noticed the small craft move from the big ship to a smaller ship before coming to voyager and directed to the shuttle bay

"Commander, welcome aboard, I am captain janeway" she said

"Commander ikari, it's a pleasure, captain, your ship is quite small" I said

"No, your ships are just gigantic" an officer to the right of the captain said

"This is my first officer commander chakotay" she introduced

"Commander" I said

"Is it common for your fleet to put commanders in command of entire fleets" the commander asked, I snorted

"I'm supposed to command a single frigate, at most, I was on a mission to recover our navies flagship the infinity, and bring it back for repair and refit, instead the ships FTL engine malfunctioned and dumped us, not at all where we were supposed to be where we found ships we previously listed as lost, I splint my incredibly small crew as best as I could as I wasn't going to leave fully functional UNSC ships lying around, and I set course for earth, hoping to render our services to whoever was in charge, since we quickly fogured out we aren't in our reality any more, we are still trying to figure out weather or not that is a good thing" I said

"I see" janeway said

"The infinity transligjt engine is out of alignment, making FTL dangerous, and it is the entite reason we are stranded here to begin with, so I hoped to find people from earth's government who can render aid" I said

"Even with a warpdrive, it's a seventy year trip back home" janeway said, I snorted

"For you maybe, the joy of our FTL drive is one engine can bring a small fleet, let me borrow your engineers, and I will get you all home" I said

"If your telling the truth, then we havd a deal, commander" she said
